Chapter 17

Caleb's POV

"Chloe?" I said and she looked up from her phone and tears were in her eyes. I sigh. "What's wrong?" I kiss her on her cheek.

She wipe her tears then showed me a text message.

*I'd love to sit and have coffee when can we meet? Oh by the way, this is mom.*

"I'll call her and tell her to leave you alone." I said angrily. Why can't she just leave Chloe alone? I hate it when she's getting hurt.

"No don't. I'll just ignore her."

"I hate seeing you getting hurt like this." She sigh and I hold her hand. "I'm here for you okay, when ever you want to talk or cry."

"You've done enough for me already. I can take care of myself."

"I know you can but just know that I'm here for you."

"I know you are... anyways I should go and cook your dinner."

"No don't go." I begged.

"I'll see you later."

"Are you okay to go by yourself?"

"I'll be fine I guess."

"I don't want you to go by yourself. How about I call one of my guards to pick you up?"

"I'll be fine Caleb."

"I'll walk you to your car and you call me as soon as you reach my place okay?"

"Yea okay."

I followed her to her car checked everywhere to ensure that no one was  in the car.

"Caleb." She said while laughing.

"Yes?"

"There's no one there."

"I have to ensure."

"Anyways you have a meeting in the next hour so you should get ready." I kissed her passionately then I heard a camera clicked.

I look and saw someone from a magazine company taking pictures of us then he ran away.

"That's not going to come in the magazine is it?"

"Front page." I sigh. "Anyways, drive safely." I kiss her again then she got into her car and drove away.

Chloe's POV
I went to my apartment and heard weird noises.

What the heck? I cautiously walk to my room ready to fight anyone I see. I open my room and saw... one of my twin sister!!

"What the hell are you doing here? How did you get in here?"

"Wait before you're ready to fight me I'm hear to talk to you. I'm sorry I broke in."

"Are you here to take me to her?"

"No." She walk over to me and took my phone out of my hand then placed her finger on her lip signalling me to be quiet. She open the back of my phone and took out an electrical bug then destroy it. I can't believe she was easdropping on me.

The twin click on a button on her bracelet.

"Okay so mom has some bugs around the place. She has one in your phone, bedroom, living room and kitchen. This bracelet causes her not to hear what we are speaking about okay?" I nod. "I'm hear to help you. You can't trust anyone okay? The people that you think you can trust are the ones that you can't trust okay? Things will reveal themselves to you in a matter of time. I can't tell you the details yet but just know that you shouldn't trust people and where ever that chip is leave it there."
