Tres POV

Billie took my hand and lead me towards the front of the plane where Mike was sitting. Billie and I sat down, still holding hands. Mike put down the magazine he had been reading and stared at our hands.

"That was quick." Mike said, trying not to laugh. I stuck my tongue at him in response. Normally I'd make a joke, but right now I didn't know what to say. I didn't want to keep making a joke out of this, that would just take away from Billie. I'd let Billie talk; it was his moment. I looked at Billie, hoping to encourage him. Billie nodded and took a deep breath.

Mike noticed this and sat back a bit.

"Oh shit. Am I about to get the talk?" He said, with a laugh.

"Kinda..." Billie said.

Mike looked as though he was taken back a bit. He clearly had meant it as a joke. Billie began to speak, his voice shaking the entire time.

"The thing is Mike... I uh... just wanted you to be the first to know that, uh, Tre and I are dating. And I know we've been y'know, making jokes about this but, uh, I'm not joking. I'm in love with Tre."

I couldn't help but blush. Billie just said he loved me. Billie stared intensely at Mike. It looked like Billie wasn't breathing at all as he waited for Mike's response.

"Ok, cool. So, do you guys want to get a pizza when the plane lands? I don't really want to eat plane food." Mike said, completely casually.

Billie looked like all the steam had come out of him. He completely deflated and just stared at Mike with an open mouth.

"That's it?!" Billie demanded.

"What? We can get more than just pizza if you're hungry."

Honestly, this entire situation was so strange I didn't know what to think. Billie looked as if he had been knocked down a peg.

"It's just... HOW ARE YOU SO CALM? I JUST TOLD YOU I'M IN LOVE WITH TRE AND.... THAT'S IT? SHOULDN'T YOU BE MAD OR LIKE WHAT THE FUCK OR, Y'KNOW... ANYTHING?!" Billie yelled at Mike. Mike smiled to himself, he was clearly amused.

"Billie, I already knew." Mike said simply.

Billie's jaw dropped. I started laughing.

"Wait, what?!" Billie asked.

"Billie, you just spent the last two nights in Tre's hotel room. You two aren't exactly subtle."

I laughed harder, Billie was still in shock.

"Why didn't you say anything?" Billie demanded.

"It's none of my business. I figured if it it was more than a one time thing and meant something, you would tell me when you were ready."

"So, you're not mad?" Billie asked.

"Why would I be?" He asked simply.

Billie didn't say anything so Mike answered for him.

"Come on man, only love will change the world. Why be ashamed of who it's with?"

I felt so much comfort and warmth from Mike, he was right. I couldn't believe how well he took this. Mike clearly knew how serious this was to both of us.

"So, you weren't lying than when you said Tre was on top?"

Spoke too soon.

"Yup. That's something Amanda and I have in common." I told Mike.

Billie and I laughed. Mike just rolled his eyes.

"In all seriousness though," Mike continued. "I'm proud of both of you. I know that wasn't easy. It must've been hard to leave Adrienne."

I looked at Billie but his face gave it all away.

"Wait, she doesn't know?" Mike asked.

"Not yet. I want to tell her in person; I owe her that." Billie told him.

I didn't want to say anything but I'd be lying if I said this didn't bother me. I developed these feelings for Billie and if I found out I was nothing more than excuse for him to leave that bitch, it would destroy me. Giving Billie my heart and trusting him not to break it made me feel so fucking vulnerable. Is our relationship even real if he's still technically with her? I must not have hid my feelings well because Billie suddenly grabbed my face and kissed me. I put my hand on his face and deepened the kiss. When he pulled away he smiled sympathetically at me.

"I know this is hard for you, Tre. You just have to trust me when I tell you that I love you and only you. It'll all be over soon and than we can start our story."

I couldn't help but smile. I kissed Billie's nose and he leaned his head on my shoulder. Mike smiled at us.

"You two are pretty cute." He said, laughing a little.

I didn't know what the future held for Billie and I. In this moment I didn't care though.
