She watched as the man kissed Stephanie deeply, slipping his hand into her hair and pulling her closer. 'So the Princess was seeing another man?' She shook her head 'Disgusting'. Their clothes slid down their bodies and she drew back.
She felt her eyes well up. 'Hunh? Why was she crying? She didn't even know the man but she still felt a pang of jealousy in her chest. He looked so farmilair but she couldn't remember where she had seen him. There was a strange aura around him. He was definitely a witch'. She frowned 'The Princess was seeing a witch but not a dark one and she was also pregnant. The child had to be for him. That would explain why she told her father to bring the wedding forward. Filthy whore' she thought. Shaking her head, she stood up and tiptoed to her room. She had to inform Joachim before daybreak. She changed into a simple dress and went into the forest to begin her journey.
Stephanie opened her eyes sheepishly and looked around. She noticed Victor was gone. 'He probably left before the maids came in as she noticed they had a red gown laid on the bed for the day'. The gown looked so exquisite. 'What was the ocassion?'
An elderly maid came in and bowed "Milady, the Prince has brought the dress for you to wear to breakfast". "The Prince is here?" Stephanie asked jerking up. The woman noticed her body was bare as the sheets slid down her arm. 'She was naked but why? She never slept without her clothes on'. The woman gave her a knowing look and Stephanie quickly grabbed the sheets to cover up properly. "It was hot last night so I took off my clothes" she lied. The maid turned to look at the window which was open. She bowed and left shutting the doors behind her.
'That was close' she thought. She checked her tummy to see if she was already showing but she wasn't. She heaved a sigh of relief. She headed for the bathroom in a hurry. She had to eat on time as her stomach had started grumbling in a strange way.
Joachim turned his attention from the King to Stephanie who had just walked in. The red gown was befitting and he smiled. 'She had no idea what was in store for her'.
She saw Joachim smiling at her and she quickly returned the smile to which he replied with a silent 'wow'. She took a seat beside him and they began their breakfast. She usually ate in bits like a chicken but that morning, she ate like a whale and everyone had stared at her in shock.
Joachim started a conversation with the King. "Your grace, I'm satisfied with the new arrangements. My bride did a great job in bringing the date forward." He said rubbing Stephanie's hand. The King smiled and nodded. "I'm glad"
Jackie who was busy with her mouth turned to look at Joachim. "Would you allow her to visit once you are married?". Joachim smiled at her and nodded "Yes Jackie, she can come visit as often as she wants to" Jackie chuckled and continued with her food.
"She's so pretty" Joachim said still smiling at Jackie. I'll love to have a daughter as cute as you very soon".
The Queen gave Stephanie a Knowing look and continued with her food. Joachim smiled and turned his attention to the King. "Your grace, would it be a bad idea to have a child now?" The King smiled and shook his head "Not at all. It's an excellent idea".
Stephanie chocked on the orange seed that had entered her throat as Joachim mentioned having a child soon. A maid quickly gave her a glass of water to drink. She gulped it down and glared at Joachim as he smiled and replied with a silent 'oops'.
"Eat slowly Milady, the food is not running away". Joachim said patting her back. "Thank you. I'll be in my room" she quickly informed them as she hastened herself out of the dining hall embarrassed at what just happened.
"Were you able to tell her?" Eleanor asked as Victor combed his wet hair behind her. He shook his head vigorously and the water splashed on her face. "Oops, sreplied
She yanked his shirt and flung him against the wall. He had ruined her makeup for the third time that morning.
He stood up and grinned at her. "Not very ladylike " he snapped waving his finger at her.
She scoffed and returned to the mirror. "So did you inform her or not?"
"We got carried away. I left before she could wake. I'll go there later tonight".
"I see" she replied
"Where are you headed?" He asked admiring her long black gown. She had never dressed so beautiful and he wondered what the occasion was.
She brought out her fan and flipped it open covering her lips before curtseying in front of him. "The Prince of the South has invited me to dinner"
Victor clapped his hands in sacarsm "wow, wow, we are making progress". She glared at him and he quickly moved out of the way for her to leave. "Enjoy your evening milady"
