CHAPTER ELEVEN

The shattering of glasses woke Victor and he rushed downstairs with his vampire speed. He saw Eleanor sitting on a chair staring at a painting of him Seraya had made. "Eleanor!"

They hugged and took turns to ask how each one was faring. "We have found a way to break the dark grand masters spell". Eleanor told him. He shot her a curious look "Really?". She nodded "but tell me Victor, how are things with you and the Princess?" Victor looked away and tried changing the subject. Eleanor chuckled and raised her eye brows at him. "So you've let go of your revenge then?" "No Eleanor, I haven't" "something tells me you've fallen in love with her." She said smiling at him "her scent is still lingering on your skin. I can see what you did with her" Victor looked at her in shock. "How do you know so much?" She smirked at him "I wasn't busy playing when I left Victor, I learnt alot. So tell me, are you in love with her?" She asked looking straight into his eyes.

He knew she was invading his mind. He could feel it. She already knew the answer to her question. She just wanted him to voice it out loud. "Yes Eleanor, I'm in love with her".

Joachim smiled as the council of elders concluded their meeting with the King. A date had been fixed for his wedding with Stephanie. The elders came to shake hands with him and left the castle. He turned to look at Stephanie who was still sitted, anger written all over her expression. Walking towards her, he bowed and stretched out hand. She eyed him, pushed him out of her way and stormed to her room.

That morning, her mother had warned her not to go against her father at the meeting. She shut her door and jumped on her bed. Strange things had been happening since she had that strange dream. 'Or was it even a dream?' She asked herself. She had become so arrogant and rude towards her maids. She felt bad but couldn't stop herself. It was as if an invisible force was controlling her, making her do things she didn't want to do.

Sighing, she looked towards the window. A week had gone by since her birthday and she hadn't seen Victor. She missed him. A maid came in bearing a tray with a wine glass on it. She offered it to Stephanie who shook her head."Take it away" she told her. "But my lady, you haven't had anything since this morning" the maid protested. "Are you deaf?! Take it away! I don't want anything!!" Stephanie shouted back at her and the wine glass shattered on the tray, the mirror hanging on the wall cracked from top to bottom then broke apart shattering into pieces on the floor. The maid looked at her in horror blood was gushing out of her ears and she passed out on the floor. Stephanie widened her be yes in shock 'what just happened?'

The door flew open and the Queen walked in. She threw a questionable look at Stephanie "what did you do?"

"Mi lady, the Prince has asked you to wear this and come to his chambers" a maid informed the girl Joachim had brought from the woods.

He had given her a room in his castle not knowing what to do with her yet. He had erased her memory of the incident in the woods but she had seem to loose more than one memory. He had asked for her name but she couldn't remember anything.

She opened the door to his chambers and saw him sitting on a chair. He wore a dark robe with his chest bare. "You sent for me."

He moved like a flash towards her making her shiver as he trailed his fingers on the spot he had bitten her which was now sealed like nothing had happened there.

"I have a job for you" he informed her. "But first, we'll start with your training. You are now a vampire and you must learn how to use your strength. Now, what shall we call you?"

Victor walked with Eleanor back to his lair. He had been away for a few weeks taking lessons from Eleanor. Though he missed seeing Stephanie but refused to talk about it with Eleanor.

"You sure do have alot on your mind Victor" Eleanor said smiling. "Stop thinking so much and go see her."

He shook his head "No I can't." Eleanor smiled and patted his cheek. "You can't keep hating forever Victor, it will only bring out the darkness in you which is not suppose to be there. You are a white witch so act like one. Forget this whole revenge plan and fight for your love. I am ready to forget it all if you are ready Victor."

Victor stared at Eleanorshock."Really?" She nodded and gave him a big grin. "Joachim is evil" he told her then narrated then narrated how he found out. "We will talk about Joachim later, go see your Princess now" she told him.

He appeared in the garden. It was already nightfall. He looked at Stephanie's Window and used his vampire speed to get in.

She was sitted on her bed staring at an old photo in her hands. Her mind played back to the day she had screamed at her maid.

The Queen had heard the glass shatter and came to check what had happened. She found the maid on the floor bleeding from her ears. Stephanie expected her to scream and call the guards but she just pulled the maid to the bathroom and revived her instructing her to wait in the Queen's chambers.

She sat with Stephanie and asked if she was alright. Stephanie only nodded, still shocked at what had just happened."I know you must be surprised Steph, but I'm here to explain everything to you" the Queen told her.

Many years ago, the witches lived together with humans in peace until some witches started using dark magic and were drawn to the dark side. They were banished and as time went by, multiplied in number. They came back to fight with the white witches killing most of them and the few white witches remaining went into hiding. Your grandfather was the reigning King when the dark witches inflicted great pain on the royal household. The Queen who was pregnant fell ill and the dark witches cured her so the King let them back into the castle. The Queen gave birth to your father and died. The King was upset and ordered the death of every witch in the Kingdom.

Stephanie interrupted her "but what has this got to do with what's happening to me?" The Queen sighed. "The child the Queen bore turned out to be a witch. Unknown to anyone, the dark witches had killed the child in her womb replacing it with their Master. When he was older, he brought the dark witches back into the castle but the white witches fought back. The dark witches went into hiding but by then, their master's bride was heavy with child. The council had an election so a relative of the late King was crowned King. "What happened to the child the dark witches master bore?" Stephanie asked curiously.

With tears in her eyes, the Queen held Stephanie's hands. "That child is you Steph."
