Victor sat on a stone and sighed heavily. "I am tired of running. You are a witch, make us disappear." Eleanor frowned at him "If I use my powers here they'll find us" "Who are they?" "The dark witches" Victor frowned, "You never told me about them" "You never asked. Now listen" Eleanor went on to tell Victor about the dark and white witches. The dark witches were once white witches until they used dark magic and were banished. A long time ago, the dark witches inflicted pain on the Queen and she fell ill. She was pregnant with her first child for the King. One day, a strange looking lady walked into the castle and told the King that she could heal the Queen.Everyone was happy until she gave her condition. The King must allow the dark witches into the castle. The King, left with no choice agreed to this. The white witches were few in number as most of them had moved to the dark side, so they had no chance against the dark witches. The dark witches took over the Castle and everyone worshipped them. The Queen died after giving birth and the King went into a fit of rage. He ordered the death of every witch in the Kingdom. So the Kings men moved from door to door. They recognized a witch's home after pouring salt at the door mouth and the salt disappears. Most of the dark witches were killed and the others went into hiding. Now, the dark witches left are trying to turn every white witch into a dark one. Victor shook his head in disgust after Eleanor narrated everything to him. They got to Kingsville and Eleanor told Victor they'll be staying there for the main time. Victor noticed the frown on her face and asked what was wrong. She looked away "This is the land where my parents were murdered"
She shivered as he came close to her. As usual, she could only see his eyes. They were a deep shade of yellow and were blazing. Surely, he wasn't human, a ghost maybe? 'No' she shook the thoughts away. She placed her palm on his chest 'strange he was cold as ice and his heart beat... No there was no heart beat... This guy was surely dead. He chuckled, like he knew what she was thinking. "Close your eyes" came his deep voice. She closed them and he pulled her closer to himself.
When she opened her eyes she Was in a room. The same room she saw in her dreams. She stood up to admire the furniture and paintings that were in the room. There was a painting of a young man hanging on the wall. It was the most beautiful painting she had ever seen and the man... He looked like an angel that fell from heaven. His eyes, she noticed they were like the stranger's. 'If this was him, she wasn't going home tonight'
She thought. Someone chuckled behind her and she turned to see him standing so close to her. She didn't hear him walk in. "Someone doesn't want to go home tonight" he said as he played with a strand of her hair. He had removed the hood and she could see him now. He was the one in the painting. She felt herself blush as he lifted her and carried her to the bed. He placed her gently on the bed and covered her with a blanket. He turned off the bedside lantern and was about to leave but she grabbed the edge of his coat and pulled him to the bed "I don't know your name" "It's Victor" he said smiling at her. "Stay with me Victor" she said looking straight into his eyes. "As you wish, your majesty"Uhm, hi readers I know this chapter is way too short. I had a difficult time trying to arrange the events.
