"Text him Sam... He will reply to your death threats with cheesy comebacks. You will smile on seeing them but will conceal it with a mask of irritation. But his relentless texts will knock down those masks and will make you agree to go on dates with him. Then you both will madly fall in love and realize your lives would be meaningless without each other. Then he will propose you on your dinner date at beach while you spill happy tears. Then you will marry each other and make me the Godmother of your first born girl.
Oh I can't wait to become a Godmother!!" Symphony squealed.
Watching her wide-eyed, I imagined how I would have looked while squealing the same way about Aju and Aru.
With a heavy heart I realized that I would have looked like a delirious dimwit, just how Symphony looks now.
"Text him Sam!!" pushing my mobile into my hands she skipped around my room.
"Oh!! I'll take my God daughter to walks and we will feed those fishes in our community park. And then we will..." she continued her yapping.
I swear I saw her eyes sparkle. Not letting her know that I would never allow this nutcase anywhere within 10 meters near my daughter, I walked to the balcony.
I didn't have a good vibe about pursuing those sticks anymore. It wasn't about me giving my heart away like Symphony said but was about the fear of letting a stranger into my peaceful life. Haven't we read enough about girls and families getting harmed by psychopaths. And he could very well be one possible psychopath.
At the same time I did not want to give up on those drumsticks just yet. Damn, I didn't even put up one fourth of the fight I would do over food with Aru.
"One try won't hurt"
Dialling the contact 'MORONIC MUGGER' I waited for that Goose to answer it. But no that infuriating imbecile has to irritate me more by not answering my continuous calls. Is he really that busy or is he purposefully provoking me? Whatever game he is playing, I'm not planning to become his prey. I may seem like a crazy outgoing joke, and undoubtedly I am one. But that doesn't mean I'm stupid enough to jump into hell by texting and becoming some stranger's new playtoy. I know when to quit. Whatever his motive is, I'm not gonna try to contact him anymore.
I don't want any twist in my mundane life.
"Bubye sticks, sorry for not trying enough. But my peace is more lovable and valuable than you"
Symphony left after few more failed attempts at making me text him. As she left, Arjun came in only to become a perfect victim to my pranks. His vacations helps him get family time with us and helps me enjoy daily entertainment. And noon arrived soon with Mom dragging me to kitchen and bullying me into helping her with chores while her percious Arjun was sitting on the counter juggling tomatoes and enjoying my misery.
"You never compel Aru to do these. Why am I the only one labelled lazy and pressurized to learn cooking?" Whining I glared at the chuckling Arjun.
"That's because Arjun knows to cook and that's more than enough to manage their future family. Right, Aju?"
Startled, he jumped down effectively squashing the tomatoes that slipped from his hand. "Ragini!!"
"What? I was just stating the facts. Now clean that mess" she ordered with a mischievous smile.
"I'm warning you both, I don't want to hear anymore comments like this about me and Aru. How many more times do I have to repeat, we aren't... she is not my girlfriend, just my... just my friend" he stumbled over words, a telltale sign of his nervousness.
