When it's meant to be (Hayes Grier)

Chapter 3

We're going to a party tonight. Perfect time to ignore Hayes. I'm gonna try to make myself attractive so he will want to talk to me. I take a shower and after what I think is 15 minutes I get out, dry myself and dry my hair. I apply foundation, concealer, bronzer, eye-liner, mascara and red lipstick. I curl my hair. I change into my outfit which is, a black and white tribal patterned crop top, a leather skater skirt and white high-top converse. I'm wearing a skirt, don't push it by making me wear heels. I add a black bandana, 30 silver bracelets (15 on each arm) to cover up my cuts, a diamond infinity necklace and a pair of diamond heart earrings.

I look in the mirror and I don't recognise myself, I look completely different.

"Come on Leila or we'll be late," Cameron knocks on my door. He walks in and his mouth drops. I smile.

"Leila, you look amazing, I almost didn't recognise you!" he exclaims. I blush.

"Thanks," I smile. We walk downstairs together.

"Introducing Leila Dallas," Cameron says in an announcer voice. I walk out from behind him. All the boys' jaws drop. I blush again, of course.

**AT THR PARTY**

We arrive and immediately I feel uncomfortable. People are already drunk and are half naked. I try to find Cameron but end up bumping into someone else.

"Sorry," I mumble.

"It's ok," he answers, I look up and run away. It was Hayes. I find Cameron and he's drinking water, someone has to drive us home, so he offered to stay sober. I walk over to him and hug him.

"Leila, what's wrong?" he asks, sounding concerned.

"I'm scared," I answer. It's true, I get really scared in places like this. Why did I even agree to come?

"It's ok, I'm here," he reassures, I nod.

I feel a pain in the back of my head and I feel myself fall, then all I can see is black.
