She's a joy she's an angel so that's what she thinks
She clings to your heart like a plug to a sink
She drives you all crazy with make believe games
She'll have you believe that faries fly planes
She often comes in with imaginary friends
That can draw on daddy with permanent pens
She has pretty parties with dolls as her mate's
But then bounces straight outside to swing on the gate
She listens to stories of love and romance
Then shoves a live frog down her best friends pants
At night when asleep the angels go quiet
I often think she could start a
riot
She looks like a princesses when all said and done
Then uses mom's lipstick to draw a big sun
All over the walls and down on the seats
Her face is alive and she giggles with glee
It's then that you have to be strong and quite firm
For if you stand back she will never ever learn
And learning she does most every single day
She learns how to get things her very own way
She came into your life and captured your heart
And from that moment you'll never be apart
Some things may last only a second like flickers of light
But your daughter's your daughter all of your life
