When we were so young
With stars in our eyes
And our songs yet unsung.
With wings on our feet
With hope in our heart
We knew way back then
We never would part..
Love me like you used to
In days long gone by
Rekindle that spark
That was once in your eye.
For you know I shall love you
And for you I would die.
Love me like you used to
I still sense that fire
You know in your heart
That you’re all I desire.
We’ve stuck by each other
Through good times and bad
When we were so happy
And sometimes so sad.
So love me like you used to
On this long trail of tears
We’ll face it together
No matter what fears
