188. A child in time

From the light of the first dawn
And the petrichor of tears
Rests a journey to unforeseen horizons
Of what stands in time as milestones and mileposts
The trickle of age down the slope of time

Juvenility, is a passage of fledgling innocence
And the scholarship of experience
Navigated not by the heart nor body
A vessel rippling in the waters of time

And one fated day, the child will see beyond the light
When the heart gropes for salvation
And the body seeks reciprocation
All in the name of love

For a child’s destiny
Lies in the closure of eyelids
As the heart monopolizes
The trinity of body, spirit and soul
As the seeker emerges behind the wheel of fate

A journey to enumerable horizons, in a perennial search
For the destined lover, the keeper of the soul
