HAPPY DECEMBER MY LOVELY READERS ! *throws reindeers and sparkles at you*
♣ ♣ ♣
I literally felt like a fermented corpse when I woke up this morning, having only gotten a mere six hours of sleep. Was I looking forward to spending the whole day with Jimin while looking like a legit zombie out of The Walking Dead-series? Not frickin' quite -- though I was too happy to care. Being out with Tae until two in the morning had been totally worth the lack of sleep. Thinking back on the late-night events, I almost floated on clouds while getting myself ready to meet Jimin.
As promised, Jimin arrived at twelve o'clock sharp. A blissful smile is evident on his lips as he opens the car door for me.
"Goodmorning. You seem unusually happy to be spending most of the day studying math," he greets me with a chuckle when I approach him with bouncy steps and a wide smile.
"Morning," I chirp energetically, "I guess I had a good sleep."
"You look tired, though. Are you sure you weren't having nightmares about that movie?" he asks when the car starts rolling, raising his eyebrows in a mocking manner.
"Says the one who held my hand at the end," I retort teasingly, rolling my eyes. I said it more as a joke, but I notice him biting his lower lip for a brief moment as a faint pink colour slightly appeared on his cheeks. Is he blushing at the thought of holding my hand?
"I just held it in case you were scared," he mutters eventually, his eyes looking everywhere except into my own. Lies.
"Awh, Jiminie is such a gentleman. We must find you a worthy lady," I say, watching him with a teasing gaze.
"I think I already have found one, though." His eyes divert to meet mine before flashing me an unexpected wink, which for some reason caused my heart to skip a beat. My curiosity rose as I started to wonder who this person could be. My mind had courage enough to suspect that there was a possibility that he might have referred to me. Though, I immediately shut that theory out since I'm nowhere near his ideal type.
"May I meet this special person, then?" I ask with curiousness in my voice. He chuckles softly.
"Maybe one day," he replies with a cheeky grin.
I have to admit that there is something in the air between us today. Even though we are friends and obviously nothing more than that, I couldn't just neglect the playful flirty mood that hung over us like an inappropriate cloud.
Luckily my thoughts were soon interrupted as the car suddenly came to a halt in front of a gate. The sight before me causes my mouth to fall open in astonishment.
Holy moly.
Let's just say that when I heard that Jimin is rich, it was a complete understatement. Disgustingly rich is more fitted. This boy didn't simply have a house -- it was a goddamn mansion.
"If you don't close your mouth soon you'll be swallowing flies," Jimin snorts beside me as he parks the car on the curved driveway. Remaining completely mute and speechless, I close my mouth and carefully exit the car, while my eyes are still glued onto the glorious property before me. I suddenly feel incredibly underdressed wearing my simple hoodie, skinny jeans and Converse.
