Eunhyun's POV

My eyes locked with the ones staring at me in the mirror. She is a pitiful sight, that girl in the mirror.

After running off, I needed a shoulder to cry on so I went to the first person I thought off.

                       Knock knock

"Eunhyun, hurry out of there. You have been in the bathroom for 20 minutes already!" Baekhyun's annoying voice made me groan. I looked in the mirror again, I looked horrible. My eyes were swollen and my thin lip had bite marks from where I chewed on them. I let out a deep sign and opened the door. Baekhyun face filled my vision, his face written with worry.

I walked past him and sat on his bed. I felt pressure on the bed beside me and the heard the springs coil. I leaned my head on his shoulder and sniffed. "What happened?"

I was reluctant to tell him given circumstances of the last guy that made me cry but I told him anyway. "Chanyeol cancelled on me but I wasn't upset over that."

Baekhyun narrow his eyes at me, "Then what made you upset?" I continued, "I caught him with another girl, I think it was Sunmi. That girl he was always hanging out with." My heart ache at the thought of Chanyeol with another girl.

Baekhyun's POV

"I caught him with another girl, I think it was Sunmi. That girl he was always hanging out with." Eunhyun said in a shaky voice.

I was silent for a moment, trying to absorbed everything she just said. "Baekhyun?" I felt Eunhyun remove her head off my shoulder. "He what?!" I say through clenched teeth as anger fills in my own body. All that filled my vision was my arms around his throat.

"Baekhyun Baekhyun! Please don't do anything." Eunhyun's voice made all my murderous thoughts disappear. I looked her in the eye, her eyes pleading me not to do anything but how can I not. I stood up and was about to leave but was immediately pulled back by Eunhyun. I growled and yank my arm off her grip before running off.

I ran from places to places in search of Chanyeol. I couldn't find him but finally found him at the park. "PARK CHANYEOL!"

I saw him took a few steps towards me but I was too angry to have a conversation with him. I clenched my fist in anger and ran towards him. "Baekhyun, have you seen Eun-". My fist came in contact with his face causing him to stumble back.

"What the hell was that for?!" He growled and sneered at me. "You bastard!" I didn't know what came over me and I swing my fist at him once more but he dodged my attack causing me to fall. Chanyeol took a step forward, his eyes darkened and he grabbed the collar of my shirt. He was about to punch me in the face when Eunhyun stopped him. "STOP!!"

Chanyeol released me and turned to face Eunhyun. "Eu-Eunhyun..." he stuttered. I stood up and immediately stumbled back at Eunhyun's hug. "I'll handle this, thank you." With that she walked over to Chanyeol and said "Let's go." She wrapped her hand around his and pulled him to the direction of her house.

A deep sign escaped my lips and I folded my arms while I stared at the back of both of them. "That idiot."

Writers's POV

Once Chanyeol and Eunhyun was out of Baekhyun's range of eyesight Eunhyun released her hand from Chanyeol's. There was not a single sense of humour on any of their faces.

"Explain." Eunhyun said sternly.

"Sunmi noona was having one of her panic attacks and she needed to see me urgently so I met up with her but I kind of lost track of time..." Chanyeol rubbed the back of his head and looked down in embarrassment.

"Ah I see, she must be very important to you. I'm an idiot for thinking I was ever important to you." She whispered very softly thinking that Chanyeol wouldn't hear her but he did.

Chanyeol stopped in his tracks and turned to face her. "Hey, who said you weren't impo-"

"Listen, I think we should stop with this date thing. This incident just proves we aren't meant to be that way so I think we should just say as friends." Eunhyun said quickly, avoiding his immediate response. She then continued walking leaving Chanyeol dumbfounded with her words.

He quickened his pace to match with hers, "What do you mean we aren't meant to be that way?"

"You know what I mean, I realised that I'm just not ready to have that type of relationship with anyone yet. We should just stay as friends." Eunhyun repeated her words. Eunhyun's lips quivered and tears were forming in her eyes. It took her a large amount of courage to say that to him. It hurt her more to say it than it hurt him to hear it.

Eunhyun and Chanyeol stood outside Eunhyun's house, the second time this week. "Is that what you really feel?" Chanyeol locked eyes with hers, hands clenched into a fist. Eunhyun swallowed the lump in her throat and replied, "Yes."

"Why do I feel like you're lying?" He slowly raised his arm and caressed her cheek with affection. Eunhyun placed her hand over Chanyeol's and removed it from her cheek. "Well, I'm not. Take it or leave it." She said coldly.

There was silence in the air when Eunhyun finally broke the silence. "I hope there weren't any hard feelings between us and that we can go back to how we used to be. Friends?" She placed her hands behind her back, leaned in and smiled.

Chanyeol could tell it was a fake smile but he didn't know what else to do and so he said, "Friends."

"See you at school then, goodnight." She waved her arm at him and entered her house while Chanyeol stood there staring at the sky, heartbroken.

The sky suddenly turned dark, rain was storming at this point and lighting struck.

Eunhyun entered her room and placed her back against the door. She slid down the door slowly, her tired legs unable to hold her up any longer.

Chanyeol grabbed his shirt, the location of his broken heart and tightened his grip as his teeth gritted in utter frustration. He finally released his cry and yelled at the sky his hurt and frustration.

Eunhyun covered her mouth with hands and tears constantly flowing down her cheeks. The lights flickered when the thunder toared outside.

The only thing that could be heard that day was crying of the broken-hearted and the roar of the thunderstorm.
