I'm Not Yours To Protect

Chapter 22

Writer's POV

          Eunhyun's mom was out of town for that week so Chanyeol wanted to stay over at Eunhyun's house. Eunhyun tapped her chin and stared at him, processing his request.

          She took a deep breath and gave in, "Fine you can stay over." His eyes sparkled with delight but slowly changed to an mischievous smirk. Eunhyun's face turned red of embarrassment as she slapped his arm, "What are you thinking?!".

          Chanyeol began laughing hysterically, grasping his sides. "I'm not thinking of anything! You're the byuntae here." He simply hummed a tune and walked towards Eunhyun's bedroom. "Does your parents even know you're here?"

          He shrugged his shoulders and waved it off, "I told them in advance, I think. Whatever I'm tired can we go to sleep?" Eunhyun glanced at the clock on her desk and eyes twitched at the timing, "It's 9pm! It's too early to sleep. I need to do my homework and study! You should probably study too, given the grades you have."

          Eunhyun continued with her blabbing until she noticed that Chanyeol was not around anymore. Her ears twitched at the sound of water and someone humming to a song. "He must be taking a shower." She thought to herself. A tint of pink shaded on her cheeks as she thought of Chanyeol being naked in her very own bathroom. Even though they shared a room before, she still can't get used to it. Her hands slowly cupped her cheeks as she took took breaths to calm her beating heart down. "It's okay Eunhyun, nothing's gonna happen. We'll just sleep, right sleep." She lowered her voice to a whisper. "But what if he doesn't just want to sleep? What if he wants more than that?" She shake her head and fumbled with her thoughts.

          "Eunhyun?" She epped and jumped slightly at sound of her name. She turned her heel and placed her hands up in a defensive manner, "I wasn't thinking about anything!"

          Chanyeol looked at her amused as he strode towards her. Eunhyun's heart started thumping in her chest. A towel was wrapped around his lower body. Water was dripping down from his hair and trailing down his toned body. It was every girl's dream to be in Eunhyun's position right now.

Her mouth slight agape, her eyes sparkling an emotion he couldn't concur. "What are you doing? A fly is gonna fly in you know." He gently grabbed her chin and closed it. "It's your turn to shower." He grabbed another towel and threw it on Eunhyun's head. She grip onto the towel to cover her red face and walked to the bathroom. Just as she closed the door, she heard Chanyeol chuckle, "Maybe next time I should be completely naked."

Chanyeol was wining on how he is in desperate need of sleep. Eunhyun's head plopped down onto her study desk with a "THUNK" sound. Books and papers were all over her desk and the table lamp shining down on them. "Then just sleep! I'll join you after I'm done with this topic." She promised him but he didn't want that. "EP! HEY LET ME DOWN!" She was caught off by surprise when Chanyeol carried her bridal style and walked to the bed. He carelessly threw her onto the bed and turned off the lights. Flopping himself next to her, he hugged her waist tightly, not letting her escape his grip.

Before they know it, they were spooning with Chanyeol being the larger spoon. He took a whiff of her hair and his nose was immediately filled with sweet and relaxing scent of lavender and vanilla. He closed his eyes, drifting off to sleep when an evil idea popped into his mind.

He released his hands around her waist and turned around, "Your turn to hug me." She signed deeply and obeyed him. She wrapped her arms around him and almost immediately she felt him push, instantly a motor like sound was heard. His butt moved and she quickly pushed him away from her. Eunhyun sat up and gagged at the disgusting smell. She pinched her nose and yelled at him, "YOU'RE GROSS!"

Chanyeol laughed at her reaction and hugged her once more, "Okay let's sleep now." He closed his eyes and slowly sleep took over him.
