Chapter 2

Chapter 2:

Quick a/n I didn't realise how short the first chapter actually was, I'll try and make them quite a bit longer in the future. Thanks for all the support so far:) xo

I can't believe I'm sat next to Joel Peat. Oh god, I've just realised I'm staring at him. His eyes are just irresistible. " oh yeah sorry, I'm Alice and that's about it really"

"Well hi Alice, that's a really beautiful name" he said gently" how's your hand now?"

"It's much better thanks, you can go if you want, you've probably got stuff to be getting on with without me getting in the way" I knew id never have a chance with a guy like him anyway.

"Let me take you home first, the guys won't mind" the corners of my lips turned, but I made an effort not to look too desparate.

"Well, err, what would your girlfriend have to say about that?" I questioned.

"Luckily for you, I don't have one" the smile on my face said it all.

He grabbed me another coffee, which I offered to pay for but he wouldn't let me. We went back down the stairs to the tube platform and got onto the overground service to Surrey Quays. It was a fair few stops aways. It was dark by this time so there wasn't much to see but Joel being there with me more than made up for it.

I had my arm resting on the armrest and Joel's hand glided down my arm and his hand rested on mine. It gave me a sense of security, made me feel safe and happy. I'd only known him a few hours but he already felt like the one. I turned to look at him and gave him a small smile, acknowledging him and giving him the permission to link his hand to mine. I think he felt the same as me.

The time came for me to get off, and as I expected to depart alone, he followed me off. I asked what he was doing and he said he was taking me to my door. As we got closer and closer I was dreading the time we'd have to say goodbye.

"Here we are, number 36," my house overlooked the Thames and was opposite canary wharf. It was quite a nice house, to be honest, and I was quite proud of it. There were two bedrooms, a kitchen and and living room/dining room. The main shower room was downstairs, but In the master bedroom was an ensuite with a small shower, sink and toilet. The moon shone bright as we said our goodbyes. Not knowing what to do, we settled on a hug and quick goodnight peck on the cheek. I embraced his warmth as we hugged, and although it was only short, they are the best seconds of my life. He quickly kissed me on the check and I didn't want to break apart. As we did he gave me his iPhone and I put my number in. He said goodnight, blew a kiss and walked back down to the station.

That night, I headed up to bed with a huge smile on my face.
