Words for the Contradictions

Auditory learner

I am an auditory learner, which means, 

if you're willing to listen so am i 

and if you're willing to speak so am i

I take in information through my ears

like i take in oxygen through my lungs

I need to hear

in order to be heard 

need to listen

to be listened to

because the words i say

have meaning behind them,

more than what is actually said

but no one will care

the way i wish they would

simply because my voice has little weight

unless i show i'm not just talking to hear myself

i am talking to show i am capable of shutting my mouth

and i will

i will for you

not just to be heard myself

but because to speak and not be heard

feels like ice so cold it burns
