Alexander opened the door to greet the final member of the dorm. Hopes high that he'd get along with the final person.
Finally, someone who wasn't tall.
A cute boy with a ton of freckles and his fluffy hair tied back in a bouncy pony tail was at the door. He seemed to have a light blush permanent stuck on his face. From drinking so much maybe?
Alex stopped for a second, making eye contact with a stranger. Everything seemed to freeze. The boy's emerald eyes seemed to shimmer.
Alex seriously felt super weird, Fuzzy feelings.
The guy had a bright smile, "Hey. I'm John Laurens."
John Laurens. The name seemed to echo in Hamilton's head.
Alexander said nothing, he just stood there awkwardly staring into John's eyes.
John Lauren's smile seemed to fade.
"Hello?" He asked, wondering if anyone was really in Alex or if it was just a random body or something.
"Oh uh, hey!" Alexander finally spoke.
Lauren's smile returned.
"I'm Alexander Hamilton. Umm I live here I guess...now I do. Hehe."
Real smooth, Alex.
"Same..I think..wait no. My name is Alexander. It's John Laurens...I-I just live here now..too...with you..in the same dorm..." The boy laughed a bit awkwardly
Real smooth, John.
Alexander moved out of the way and motioned for John Lauren's to come in.
"We're all here now!" Alex announced to the dorm.
"Oh, dang, was I the last one? Sorry. I always seem to be late!" Laurens laughed a little, "I ran into some friends on the way up here."
"It's alright," Hamilton told Laurens.
Everyone came out to the living room.
"So should we all say our names again or something?" Jefferson spoke up, realizing he barley knew anyone.
"And where we came from?" Hercules suggested.
"That's dum-," Jefferson started but was cut off by Lafayette.
"Oui!"
"Ok I'll start. My name's Hercules Mulligan. I come from Ireland."
"Alexander Hamilton, Nevis: Leeward Islands in the Caribbean," He shyly told them.
"Je suis Lafayette, je viens de France et je ne sais pas parler anglais."
Lafayette got mostly blank stares but Alex and Thomas both started translating at the same time, "He said: 'I'm Lafayette I'm from France and I don't know how to speak any English.'"
Alexander and Jefferson both gave each other bitter stares.
"YOU can speak French?" Alexander scoffed.
"I basically lived there !" Thomas snapped. "I probably can speak it better than you can so shut it!"
Well-earned eye roll from Hamilton.
"Riiiight."
"Anyway, I'm Thomas Jefferson. I'm better than all you and I'm from Virginia. Practically lived in France for like 8 years though, like I said earlier."
"James Madison. Also from Virginia."
He let out a brutal cough after his sentence.
"I'm John Laurens! I'm from South Carolina. It's not like the Caribbean or anything but it's still nice there."
