Have you ever woken up and felt like you slept through two days. You were so dazed and confused. You had no idea what was going on. Yeah well that was currently me.
I rubbed my eyes and looked across the room seeing Mitch sitting down watching the tv screen.
"What time is it?" I asked while combing my fingers through my hair.
"Ten." He responded with no emotion.
I frowned and got out of the bed. I walked into the bathroom and closed the door. I did a cat stretch and winced. My muscles were so sore. I rubbed my face before washing it and brushing my teeth. I wiped my face and walked out of the bathroom.
Mitch was sitting down and watching the video footage.
"Mitch, how long have you been watching this stuff?" I asked while walking over to me. "We have a mission. We have to focus on eliminating the targets. No more screwing around." He snapped coldly.
I rolled my eyes and turned around. I don't know what the hell crawled up his ass. I went to grab some clothes to go shower, but my phone ringing, stopped me.
I furrowed my eyebrows and walked over to it. I looked at the screen and saw that my grandmother was calling me.
"Hello." I said while answering the phone. "Tiffany." My grandmother said and I immediately knew something was wrong. "Grandma what's wrong?" I asked, worry evident in my tone. "Nothing's wrong baby. I just need you to come by the shop. You left something there." She said.
My heart was racing.
"O-okay I'm coming." I said. "Okay I love you Tiffany." She said. "I love you too." I said.
The line went dead indicating that she hung up. I gulped and grabbed my clothes going into the bathroom. I changed into my jeans and T-shirt before walking out.
"Where the hell are you going?" Mitch asked as I sat on the bed with my boots in hand.
I put them on quickly and went to my weapons bag.
"Tiffany, where are you going?" He asked again. "Something's wrong." I mumbled while grabbing my guns and holsters.
I strapped one to my thigh and stuck my gun in the holster. I put another underneath my shirt in the back of my jeans.
"What're you talking about?" Mitch asked as he put on a shirt. "My grandmother called. Something's wrong." I said while grabbing the keys. "Wait. I'm coming with you." He said while putting on his sneakers.
Mitch grabbed his gun before we left the room. My heart was racing and thoughts swarmed through my mind. I didn't know what to think. All I knew was that my grandmother was in danger.
We raced downstairs and immediately went towards the car in the parking lot. I went towards the drivers side but a hand stopped me.
"I'll drive." Mitch said. "Why?" I asked irritated at the fact that he was about to fight with me. "Because you look like you're about to have a panic attack. Now get in the damn passenger seat and shut the hell up." He grumbled.
I glared at him and walked around the car getting into the passenger side. Mitch got in and immediately started driving.
The ride to my grandmother's shop felt like years. I think it was the worrying that made the time go by so slow. It's just the way my grandmother sounded scared me. She tried to sound like she was okay but I could hear that she wasn't. Something wasn't right and I could only pray to god that nothing bad was going to happen.
Mitch pulled up to my grandmother's shop. I opened the door and flew out the car which resulted in me falling to the floor. I grunted in pain and got up. I went to run into the shop but Mitch grabbed my arm forcing me to look at him.
"Hey, it's going to be okay." He said in a soft voice.
My bottom lip trembled and I nodded. I was scared shitless at the moment. If something were to happen to my grandmother because of me I wouldn't be able to live with myself.
I took out my gun and held it in my hand tightly. I went into the shop and noticed that everything was quiet. Way too quiet.
"Gram?" I called out quietly.
My heart was thumping against my chest. I slowly walked through the aisles of clothes carefully. I turned my head and didn't see Mitch. My heart dropped and fear bubbled up within me. I didn't want to be alone right now.
I turned back and shook my head. I got this. I could do this.
I walked pass an aisle but slowly walked back towards it. Tears pricked my eyes and my heart dropped. I saw a trail of blood leading towards the wall. I gulped and followed it.
"No!" I sobbed as soon as I saw my cousin's body.
Tears fell from my eyes and I rushed towards him.
"No! No! No!" I screamed. "Tiffany!" I heard Mitch scream. "Mitch!" I cried out loudly.
I dropped my gun to the floor and grabbed Asim. His neck was bloody and I saw the torn skin.
"Fuck." I heard Mitch say.
My head snapped towards him. He slowly walked towards me and bent down. I stared at my bloody hands in shock. My cousin was dead right in front of me and I didn't know where my grandmother was. My eyes widened and I shot up.
"Grandma!" I screamed.
I was full on panicking. I pushed pass Mitch and ran towards the back of the shop but stopped half way.
"No!" I screamed when I saw her laying on the floor. "Grandma!" I cried while running towards her.
I fell to her sides and pressed my hands against the gunshot wound that was on her stomach.
"You're going to be okay! We're going to get you help! Mitch call for help!" I screamed madly.
Tears fell from my eyes. My grandmother coughed and looked at me.
"T-Tiffany." She choked out. "I'm right here Grandma." I sobbed. She smiled at me. "My beautiful granddaughter." She said. I smiled and nodded. "I'm so sorry." I sobbed. "I love you baby." She said, her eyes slowly closing.
"No!" I sobbed. "Tiffany." I heard Mitch say.
I turned my head and froze.
"You're coming with us bitch."
