We walked into the colorful clothing shop and looked around.
"What are we doing here?" Mitch asked. "You'll see." I responded, while walking through the aisles.
Mitch followed close behind me. I went to the cashier and tapped the shoulder of the man that was looking at the shelves.
"How can I help you?" He asked without looking up. "Jesus Asim I thought I was special." I joked.
His head snapped up and his eyes widened.
"Tiffany!" He exclaimed pulling me into a bone crushing hug over the counter. I giggled and hugged him just as tight. We pulled away and I took a deep breath. "What are you doing here? And whose he?" He asked. "I'm here on business. And this is Mitch." I said. "Business as in you need fabric for your dresses or business." He said exaggerating the last word of his sentence. "Yeah that." I said.
He nodded and looked around.
"Fazel! Watch the store for me!" Asim yelled in Arabic. "Come on." He said to me.
He walked towards the back and I turned to Mitch. His jaw was clenched tightly.
"What's wrong?" I asked. "Who is he?" He asked. I could hear the anger in his voice even though he tried to keep calm. "Asim. He's my cousin." I said. His face fell. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. "Who'd you think he was?" I asked. "No one." He mumbled. "Okay." I said while walking to the back.
I opened the door and went down the narrow hallway. I turned and walked into the open door on my left. I smiled when I saw the rows of weapons. I felt my body push forward and nearly face planted to the floor, but an arm wrapped around my waist pulling me against a very toned chest. Mitch. His scent filled my nostrils. My heart started racing.
"What the hell Rapp?" I mumbled trying to calm my face beating heart. "You're the one that stopped in front of the door." He said in my ear.
His hot breath made me shiver and I'm pretty sure he felt it too.
"Hello!" Asim yelled causing Mitch and I to jump away from each other.
I blushed and looked away from Mitch who was also red. Asim looked at me and smirked. I pursed my lips and walked to the table filled with guns.
"Okay so I have guns, knives, tasers, holsters, everything you need." Asim said.
I smiled and picked the gun up. I checked the magazine and aimed the gun.
"It's light. It won't weigh my leg down." I said. "Yeah. I have holsters for your calves so you could strap knives to them." He said.
He rolled out some knives and I smiled. I picked one up and twirled it around in my fingers. I saw in the corner of my eye, Mitch watching me. I smiled slightly and put the knife down. My phone vibrated in my pocket. I pulled it out and looked down at the screen.
Alberto-"The event starts at 7. Men wear suits. Women wear lehengas."
"Alberto texted me. Mitch you're definitely need a suit and I'm going to need a lehenga." I said. "A leh- what?" He asked. "An Indian outfit." I said. "Alright since you're going to be wearing that it'll be harder to move but easier to conceal your weapons. Try on some holsters. Make sure you could move with them. Make sure you're comfortable." Asim said.
I nodded and started grabbing my some holsters strapping them to my thighs and calves. I put two knives on my calves. One on each. A gun on my right thigh and a taser on my left.
"Asim you have any small knives. One I could keep in my bra just in case?" I asked.
He threw me a small pocket. I smirked and looked at it.
"Now for you Mitch. I got some stuff for you." Asim said while taking Mitch into another room.
I smiled as they walked away, playing with the guns. I jogged and jumped around, making sure everything was comfy. I wondered if Asim still had his training center downstairs. I heard a crash come from outside. I then heard yelling. I grabbed the gun out of the holster on my thigh and quickly jogged out of the room. I went down the hall and silently tip toed to front. I saw Asim's worker be held at gun point. It was only one man so it should be easy to take him out.
The man was yelling in Arabic. I put the gun in the holster and dropped to the ground. I grabbed the knife from my calf and crawled on the floor. I went close enough to the man and hopped up pressing the knife against the man's throat from behind him.
"Lower your gun or I'll slit your throat right here." I growled.
I felt a gun at the back of my head and I mentally groaned. How the hell could I have not seen this other man?
"Let my husband go, or I'll blow your brains out." A woman grumbled. "Take the gun off of my wife's head or I'll blow yours." I heard Mitch growl.
My heart fluttered at the sound of his voice, but I remained calm.
"I'd take the gun off of my head. Talk to your wife. He'll really blow her brains out." I said to the man. "Lower it." The man said. "But-" "Lower it!" He yelled.
The barrel of the gun disappeared from my head and I relaxed a little.
"Now you lower your gun and walk out of here before this doesn't end well." I threatened.
The man didn't listen at first but then a few minutes later the gun was lowered. I lowered my knife, but kept the grip tight. The man turned around super fast and knocked me in the head with butt of his gun. I yelped and plunged the knife in his throat. I heard the woman scream and two gunshots go off, as I dropped to the ground. My face and butt was in pain. My vision was blurry and my ears were ringing because of the proximity of the gun shot
"Tiffany." I heard a muffled voice say.
I groaned and held my head in my hand.
"Come on Tiff, we got to get out of here." The same voice say.
Mitch then came into view. He helped me up and said a few words to the worker and my cousin before brining me out the shop.
