I love my baby, but the BABY DADDY doesn't know he's a DAD! WILL HE EVER KNOW he has a baby?
Chapter 3
Jamie's POV
I breathed in before stepping into the kitchen. Mom was washing her hands and Dad was organizing his papers from work.
"Um, Mom, Dad? Can I talk to you?" I said, fiddling with my fingers. I was nervous.
"Yes sweetie, what is it?" Mom asked.
"Can you sit down please." I said, walking towards the kitchen table Dad was already sitting at. She had a look of confusion and then sat down.
"What is it?" Dad asked.
"I'm pregnant." I said. They both sat there and exchanged glances. After the initial shock they looked back at me.
"I'm not happy about this, but I guess there isn't much to do now." Mom said calmly.
"Were gonna be grandparents." Dad said with a weak smile. Then I explained to them my plans for the pregnancy. They didn't seem happy about me leaving, but they were glad I had a plan. After we hugged I went to my room to pack my stuff. I was ready an hour later and was about to bring my bags to the car when I remembered the note in my bag. I pulled it out and read it.
Jamie,
I'm sorry. I'm sorry I didn't tell you and that I let it happen. I know you know about Kendra. I assumed that's why you haven't answered my calls and ignored me today. I hope you can forgive me, it was a moment of weakness and I miss you Jam. (A/N: pronounced Jame) I hope that tomorrow you will at least give me a small amount of attention that you used to share with me so I can explain further. I love you.
Love,
Austin
I felt happy, angry and sad. He said he loved me, but did he mean it? He still did what he did with Kendra and he doesn't know I won't be there tomorrow. I was going to miss him. I put the note in my pocket and grabbed my bags. I rolled them out of my room and out of the house. They were in the car and my parents were already in. I got in the back seat and we drove off to the airport. I got there and waited.
I got on the plane and was on it until one in the afternoon the next day. I got off and looked around. I saw an older woman with dark brown hair waiting. I walked over and was greeted with a hug.
"Hey." She said.
"Hi." I said. I smiled at her. I was almost looking forward to the next nine months.
