Ch.13
Jamie's POV
I flopped down on my bed after I put Savannah in her crib to sit and play. Danny pushed Sydney onto the bed and we all laughed as she landed on top of me. I watched as Danny's face lit up as he went to the crib and picked up Savannah. I saw the way he held her and how Sydney ran over to them and started gushing over her. I looked at the picture in puzzlement, wondering why I was thinking like I was. Then I softened as I realized what I was seeing. What it would be like if my two best friends had a baby. I didn't know if they liked each other, but there is something there. I smiled to myself as I watched them play with my baby girl.
"Jamie?" Sydney said with her pouty face. Uh oh. I knew she was going to use it on me, but I didn't know for what.
"Yes Sydney?" I asked nonchalantly.
"Can we bring Vannah to the mall. We can all go shopping and show off your baby to the world of adults-"
"That might give us free stuff!" Danny interrupted smiling and bouncing around with her. I laughed and looked back at Sydney. I was worried about people noticing us with a baby though.
"We can just say it's my cousin." She said as if reading my mind.
"Ok, on one condition." I said with a smile.
"What?" They both asked in unison.
"You guys be Vannah's godparents." I said using Sydney's adorable nickname for her.
"YES!" They both said in excitement. I smiled at them and went into the bathroom to change. After I was done with everything I grabbed Savannah's stroller and brought it out. Danny and I lugged it downstairs as Sydney carried Savannah. I told my mom where we were going and went out to the car with her diaper bag and carseat. We had everything settled into the car and drove to the mall.
We walked into the mall and I took a deep breath. I joined into the conversation Danny and Sydney were having and laughed and talked with them as we shopped. An hour later we were all hungry and headed to the food court. Sydney took Savannah around the food court and Danny and I walked together.
"I think I'm ready." I said to him. He knew what I meant and nodded.
"I just hope it doesn't take away my time to spend with her." He joked. I laughed and punched him playfully in the arm.
"What I was curious about was why you waited so long? I mean, you were always so direct and up front with everything. Why did you choose now to hold back?" He asked.
"Well, it was because of the way he acted. I didn't want him to know about something he couldn't handle. He was too immature back then, I didn't want to ruin his future either. He has so much for him, I don't want to be distraction from his future." I let out and sighed.
"You know that he would be there, as much as I hate to say it, that is something you can count on." He said. I smiled genuinely at him. He was a great best friend. He would also be a great boyfriend for a certain someone.
I looked up at the people in the food court and found that so many people from school were here. I almost panicked. I looked around for Savannah and Sydney. Danny grabbed my arm lightly and motioned towards a couple girls leaning over the stroller and laughing with Sydney. I relaxed and then saw Austin. He was on the other side, closer to us, and was hanging out with a bunch of guys.
I felt Danny tense up next to me and I turned around. Kendra was standing there sneering at us with a couple other girls just a few feet away.
"Look what the douche dragged in." She said with a weird laugh as she looked at Danny. He glared back at her.
"Danny it's alright." I whispered to him.
"Sorry, but I don't have time to be here with you." I said with fake politeness.
"Oh, but I have plenty of time to deal with boyfriend stealers." She said angrily. So, I took it Austin told her.
"I didn't steal him because he was never yours." I glared back at her.
"He was in the locker room that day." She smirked. I leaned forward and punched her in the nose. She stepped back and held her face with her hands as she squealed. I laughed. I couldn't help it. I turned around and walked away.

A/N: SOON! SOON! SOON! I'm excited myself for him to finally find out. Kendra really deserved that. Sorry it's been so long, I've been busy the last week. I went to cirque du soleil in Boston with my family the other night and it was amazing. I take French so I enjoyed this circus type thing so much more! But yesterday I started getting really bad cramps, if you know what I'm trying to say. I have them now, but I needed to update.
