Ch. 13 part 2
Jamie's POV
I was speed walking towards Sydney with Danny. I may be grinning, but I realized when I needed to leave. I had just punched out a pregnant girl, bitch or not, that's not a good thing in the eyes of others. I was by her side and urging her to move forward while Danny told her the story. She was laughing too by the end of it, along with a good muttering of "bitch" thrown in.
We had stopped moving away from the food court when Danny spotted a hat store. Danny was obsessed with hats, just as much as Sydney was obsessed with sunglasses, paintings and posters. A small store filled wall to wall with hats. I didn't mind stopping, some of these guy hats were actually pretty sexy on a girl. Sydney tried on a neon blue hat with something in big black letters written across the front. She looked pretty cute. I had the stroller while she paid for it along with Danny who bought a red one with something different written in black on it. I looked around waiting and saw a white hat with some small designs and stand out words on the front. Who cared what it said, it was cute. I grabbed it and paid for it. They saw me and laughed. Sydney made us all wear them as we walked around.
I was pushing the stroller until I saw Wet Seal. They had some really cool clothes here. I pushed Savannah, who was giggling, into the store and Danny gladly took the stroller while I looked around with Sydney. She was a fast shopper and while I was consumed with looking at the cute outfits I looked back to find her unclipping Savannah from the stroller with a bag on her arm. She lifted her over her head and started talking to her while Danny laughed at her. They were busy so I kept looking. I ended up trying on a black t shirt with slits on the sides and a pair of fuscia pink skinny jeans with rips in different places.
I bought it and put it in the under compartment in the stroller.
"Hey Syd do you mind if I borrow her." I said as I smiled at my best friends and my cheeky daughter.
"Sure." She said with a smile and I had her in my arms. She was so cute, I looked at her adoringly and kissed her on her nose.
"You are a beautiful baby. Huh sweetie?" I said as I bounced her in my arms.
"Jamie?" I heard from behind me. I turned around to see one of Austin's friends standing there with a girl I didn't know. I handed Savannah over to Danny and walked towards him.
"Oh, hey Seth. What's up?" I said casually as I put my hands in my pocket.
"Oh nothing, I just saw you and wanted to say hey, by the way, loved the way you took on Kendra. She so deserved that. She's so whiny and annoying. I swear, if Austin didn't dump her when he did I probably would've done it for him." He said. I missed Austin's friends and I was glad to hear they didn't like Kendra as much as I did. He saw the expression on my face.
"I'm glad you two are dating again. Everyone missed you. You were a good influence for the group." He said with a laugh. I laughed with him. He looked over to the girl under his arm.
"This is Lana, my girlfriend." He introduced her.
"Hey, I'm Jamie." I introduced myself with a smile. She was pretty with wavy brown hair and deep green eyes. She smiled back, almost shyly, and held my hand.
"Lana." She said with a smile.
"Are you guys hanging out with the guys?" I asked turning my attention back to Seth.
"Ya, we are." He said. "Their probably still waiting upstairs in the food court." He explained.
"Ya, the only girls here are Kendra and her friends, or followers." Lana said with a laugh. I laughed with her. She was right about that.
"Well, do you wanna hang out with us? We could bring you back to the food court after." I said.
"Sure, I'd love that." She sounded excited.
"Awesome, I'll meet you up there later." Seth said with a smile. He kissed her on the cheek. She blushed. "See you later. Bye Jamie. Bye guys." He said with a wave to Danny and Sydney. They waved back and then he left.
"You wanna go inside, they have some awesome clothes." I said to her.
"Sure, I love Wet Seal." She said. I smiled, we were gonna be great friends.
"Hey guys, this is Lana." I said to Danny and Sydney. Savannah was back in the stroller. We walked around and continued shopping. Lana and I were looking through racks of clothes.
"So how did you and Seth meet?" I asked.
"We were walking in the halls at school and he bumped into me. We became friends and then he asked me to be his girlfriend. We've been going out for five months and I love him, but I don't know if he loves me back." She said with a blush.
"I saw the way he looked at you. He so loves you." I told her confidently.
"So why won't he say it?" She asked curiously. She looked a little hurt.
"He's a guy. That's all I know." We laughed.
"Thanks. It means a lot." She said.
"No problem, you seem really nice and I think we could be great friends." I said.
"That would be great." She smiled.
After we paid and were almost out the door, Lana got a good look at Savannah.
"Awww, who's the cute baby?" She leaned over. She held her little hand and smiled down at her. I was ready to speak, but then Sydney spoke up.
"My little cousin, my aunt's in town and I agreed to watch her." She said.
"She is so cute." She said.
"We know." Danny said. We continued looking around the mall for the next two hours and then we decided to bring Lana back to the food court.

A/N: this chapter is kind of boring, but the next one should be better.
