Ch. 14
Austin's POV
I looked up as I heard Jamie laughing. I knew that laugh anywhere. I saw Jamie arm in arm with Seth's girlfriend Lana. It was just the two of them as they walked over to us. Seth greeted Lana and I walked over to Jamie.
"Hey Jamie, can we talk?" I asked her. She nodded and we moved away from the group.
"If this to scold me about punching Kendra then I don't need to hear it." She said. I looked at her crossed arms and her raised eyebrow.
"We have to talk about that too, but that's not what I meant." I said. I remembered watching Jamie and saw Kendra come up to her. I tensed, knowing nothing good could come of this. I saw Sydney on the other side of the food court, not by Jamie's side like Danny to help her. She was walking with a shopping cart thing, that reminded me of the one's they have a Kohl's. It kind of looked like a baby stroller, which gave me a weird feeling. Something I couldn't remember was eating away at the edge of my mind, but what was it? Then I saw Jamie just in time to watch her punch Kendra in the nose. I think everyone heard the crack and squealing. Then Jamie turned around and left with Sydney and Danny.
"What did you mean then?" Jamie asked pulling me from my thoughts. She looked confused and a little worried.
"I wanted to know if you wanted to hang out tonight, like we used to. Only we can't do it at my house, my dad is reconstructing everything in their bedroom and it won't be done for another week or so." I explained. Her blonde hair blew a little off her shoulders and I almost gasped at the feelings started to build. She was gorgeous, but where did the frigin wind come from? I looked at her face, She seemed reluctant to the idea.
"Please, I promise it won't be exactly the way it was before if you don't want." I said remembering our frequent make out sessions. "We could actually watch the movie this time." I said with a smile, hoping my humor worked.
"Ya, sure, I'd like that, but this time we'll just stick to the living room." She said with a smile. I understood that remembering the recent memories when it came to that room.
"Great." I said with a smirk. "I'll be over around five, like old times." I smirked. She smiled, she had always loved my smirk.
"Alright. See you then." She said before leaving with Sydney and Danny. I smiled to myself and pulled my arm in a hook with a silent "yes!". It was 3:30 now. I had plenty of time to get ready.
Jamie's POV
An hour later
All the stuff was in my mom's room. If I was going to tell him tonight I didn't want him to be startled and overwhelmed with our baby environment. I wiped my hands on my light jeans. I had on a navy loose off the shoulders shirt on, with a black tank top underneath with thick straps for show. I had put Savannah upstairs to nap after I fed her. She was exhausted from being at the mall all day. If she cried it wouldn't be a problem, I would be telling him tonight anyway.
I was done cleaning and had helped mom cook dinner. Dad was working late tonight. I turned on the t.v. and helped mom finish up. Dinner was almost ready when the door bell rang. I answered the door and looked at him. He had on a black t shirt and dark jeans. I loved the way he always looked so sexy. I needed to stop thinking of this, my mom was in the other room. Which would help with any hormone problems tonight.
He gave that smirk and I felt weak in the knees. No, I thought to myself, I can not be like this again. At least not now. I brought him to the kitchen to eat. Mom said she had stuff to do and would be in her room. I almost objected, but she interrupted.
"I really have to get these swatches done for the customer for tomorrow." Which was true, she was a house designer and she did get swamped at times, but this time might just be an act to get us alone. You'd think after getting me pregnant that that would be the last thing she'd want. Thanks a lot Mom. Before she left she came over to Austin and hugged him. She broke off and said "It was nice seeing you again Austin." with a smile. I could tell Austin was surprised, I was, but he smiled back.
"You too, Mrs. Kenzmith." He said. I knew that she did it because he was technically family. Austin and I ate dinner and managed to talk while we ate. We talked more when we were sitting on the couch together.
"So where were you when you were gone?" He asked.
"I was in Miami with my aunt." I explained. "The pressures get to be too much sometimes." I explained. He seemed to understand and then the topic was changed to how he was pressured in sports, how the coach was putting a lot of pressure on him. Two hours later we had talked it out and he left to leave.
"Bye Jamie." He said giving me a hug. I hugged him back. When he pulled back he leaned back in and kissed me. I didn't expect it and was instantly pulled into it. We broke apart breathing heavily. I smiled and he smirked back.
"Bye Austin." I said before he shut the door behind him. I went back to the couch and my eyes were flicking closed and felt heavy. Before I fell into a heavy sleep I remembered that I was supposed to tell him about Savannah tonight. I sat back up. Shit, I thought. My hormones had got the best of me and had gotten me distracted. Damn, why didn't Savannah cry, that would've solved that problem. Wait, was I mad because my baby DIDN'T cry. I couldn't tell him over the phone, this kind of news should be in person. I decided I would tell him tomorrow. I leant back down so that I was laying on the couch again. I was about to close my eyes when I heard a cry. I got up and went upstairs.
Austin's POV
I was almost at my house, but then I remembered I had left my jacket at Jamie's house. I turned around and headed back to Jamie's. It was dark outside and I put down the window as I drove. Waving my hair around my face. I pulled into her drive way and saw that their were lights still on. I parked in the drive way and went to the door. I knocked, but there was no answer. I turned the knob to find it unlocked.
"Jamie?" I called. I didn't get an answer. I went to the living room and grabbed my jacket off the couch. I wanted to say goodbye before I left so I went up the stairs.
I turned the hall to see Jamie standing there in black short shorts and a purple tank top and her hair in a bun, bouncing a baby in her arms. I froze. She looked up and her eyes widened. She held the baby closer to her.
"Austin." She whispered, but I heard her.
"Jamie? I-is that.." But I trailed off. I couldn't speak.
