It was silent once again. Everything stood still. The air was tense, nature still holding its breath. Heads were held low, spirits down. Rhaynee walked a few feet away from the house, roughly where the beast she killed last stood in this world. She couldn't look at the couple slowly making their way towards her. She took her scythe and ripped a hole in the air, tearing the fabric of space itself. The portal ripped open from the tear, bright pastel oranges, and neon pinks. The wind picked up, headed for the portal.
Sophy looked at Percy, and slowly they let their hands go. She walked towards the portal. Rhaynee sadly nodded towards the family on the porch. Red nodded back, tears stained his cheeks. Valerie held him, her face flushed, and her eyes red. Rhay tried to hold back tears. Aki and Persephone both heled each other and cried.
Rhaynee turned back and walked through the portal. Sophy stopped at the edge.
She turned around to look at her surroundings. "You know," She began. "when I first came here, I hated just about everything. It was scary, and surprisingly colorful, being five in a brand-new place alone. Even after a few months I still wasn't sure. I was quite the brat. Heh the only thing I loved, well the two things I loved, were Aki and Percy. I would fight Persephone over Aki's attention; I'd steal Percy during the night to play with him. I never thought, the day I appeared here, that my life would be what it was. The friends I've made, the family you gave me, have made my life one of the best to live."
She looked at everyone and with a sad smile spoke. "I love you all...I" She broke down in tears. "I...Goodbye!" She darted for the portal, Percy ran after her, but she made it in before he could reach her.
Percy Reached out, but the portal closed. He collapsed to his knees.
He was silent for a while, tears falling to the ground, making tiny puddles. Everyone surrounded him. "I don't know why I did that; she was gone either way." No one said a word. "I just hate seeing her cry." Percy felt a warmth on his head and hands. He could feel her. He could feel her warmth, comforting him. "I promise you...Sophy...I will see you again."
