Somewhere Only We Know

Mel's POV:

2 hours. It's been 2 whole hours that I've been searching for Jess, but I'm still coming up empty handed.

I can't bring myself to accept the fact that I had hurt her. I can't help but feel as though this unrequited want will be the death of me

"Ally are you positively sure you don't know where she may be", I asked Jess' bestfriend

"No I'm positive she's nowhere we'd go if we wanted to be alone, she doesn't want to be found", she tells me

"We'll I'm going to find her with or without you"

With that I take of running in the opposite direction

"Where would a teenaged girl who didn't want to be found be", I wondered to myself

A park

I make my way to Bulldog Stadium which is actually just a park with a lot of sports fields

I search the entire perimeter of the park, still no sign of her.

Ugh there are two parks left to search. As soon as I finished that thought I heard the crackle of thunder

Oh my gosh please not right now please, in no time it started raining with a steady pace

"There's Athena and CCMS left", I groan at loud

I decide to go to CCMS first after half in hour I've searched around the whole park

"Fuck Me!", i scream running in the direction of Athena

15 minutes into the search I see a figure sitting in the middle of the reddirt field. As I get closer I realize it's her my heart drops when I take in her appearance

She's only in shorts and a tank top with her hair clinging to her face due to the rain

"Babe", I call out however she refuses to meet my gaze

I sit in front of her

"I'm sorry I know I should've defended you but I was a coward I'm sorry please don't leave me", I rush out

She slowly lifts her head "I'm not with you", she says painstakingly slow

Ouch there it is again the hurt from unrequited feelings

"I und-", I start but get cut off by her

"But I want to be..", she continues her previous statement

Phew that was a close one

I stood up and held my hands up for her, she slowly got up

"I'm gonna carry you all the way home or where ever you want to go", I said picking her up

She wrapped her arms around me "thank you", she whispered into my ear

Jess' POV

This all seems like some kind of fucked up love story.

Come to think of it my whole life is pretty much just a fucked up story with too many cliche climaxes to keep up with, the problem is I rarely ever get the resolution.

I the rain is picking up and Mel was serious when she said she'd carry me all the way.

"I don't want to go home", I blurt out

"That's ok we can go to my place, my parents are out of town this week anyway", she informed me

From there we stayed silent. It wasn't an awkward silence it was a silence of contentment. In this moment everything was fine, perfect even

In a few minutes we reached a decent sized one family house

"This is your casa?", I asked

"Yup this is my home",she said bringing me inside

"I'm cold", I shiver

"I'll grab some towels" with that she walked away and returned a minute later with towels and wrapped them around me

"Gracias" I sat on the couch

These towels are so warm

"Do you want food or anything", she asked

"I'm craving Chicken Alfredo, but you don't have to make it"

"No it's ok, I love that I make it all the time", she gleamed

"Ok cool"
