Mel's POV:

I just finished cooking for Jess I hope she likes it.

I brought her the plate of food

"Gracias", she thanked me.

"Welcome", I smile.

I can't stop thinking about what she said to her mom.

"oh so you're gonna hit me again"

I mean I've seen bruises on her a few times but I just assumed they were from soccer. I really hope the bruises aren't from where I think they're from

"You like it", I ask

"Si, muy sabrosa", she replied

"Anything you want to watch in particular"

"No"

My love do you ever dream if candy coated raindrops-

I couldn't help but laugh at her ringtone Candy Rain really

"Ugh what Alli" "no mi importa I don't want to talk to you " "I'll think about it bye" she hung up

"Do not ask Alli wanted that as her ringtone so she downloaded it, I've never even heard of the song", she explained

"Okay", I smiled

"I was gonna put her ringer as If I'm James Dean, You're Audrey Hepburn"

"Isn't that kinda a song you'd give a boyfriend or girlfriend"

"Yeah well she's my wife so"

I looked around

"When you were arguing with your mom, and you said well.... does she hit you"

"I'd rather not talk about it"

"Tell me"

"We physically fight and she doesn't ease up on me"

I let that soak in for a little bit then I looked at her "do you guys fight, or does she hit you"

She looked anywhere but me "she hits me"

"Why haven't you told babe!?"

"In case you didn't know she's a detective so it's not like I can run and tell the cops"

"Show them the bruises"

"I play 3 sports that get pretty physical"

"She's not gonna get away with this okay?"

"Okay,"

About an hour later we were watching this show called teen dogs or something I don't know.

"Omg Stiles is adorable- oh my fuck I can't breathe look at this Stydia moment!!!", Jess screamed

"1st what the hell is a Stiles who is Stydia and what are we watching", I asked clearly confused.

"Omg Lydia said that to!", she squealed

"What?", I'm terribly confused

"We are watching Teen Wolf. Stiles is one of the main characters as well as Lydia. Stiles has had the biggest crush on Lydia since like forever. Stydia is the ship name the fandom gave Stiles and Lydia", she explained

"Ohh what about the hot girl and the boy with the crooked jaw"

"Those are also main characters Scott and Allison their ship name is Scallison"

"I don't know how you keep up with all of these fandoms"

"It's literally a way of life"
