The next day, my leg was fully regenerated and I went for a walk to get used to the awkward feeling of having my leg phased off and then regenerated.

"Hey, you're up early," Alex said.

"Yeah, I just needed some fresh air," I said. "What are you doing up?"

"Couldn't sleep," Alex replied.

We both walked the perimeter of Rudy's property.

"Allen, you there?" Travis asked breaking the silence.

"Ten-four, what's wrong?" I asked.

"You have company," Travis said.

"Crap, I don't have any weapons," I said. "Where are they coming from?"

"From the east," Travis said.

"Ok, standby," I replied. "We have to get back to the others."

We ran in a full sprint to Rudy's house.

"We have company," I said out of breath.

"You heard him, suit up!" Zeik ordered.

I hid on the roof and had everyone stay behind the house. When I saw an entire army come down the hill I locked the coordinance and primed the laser but kept it on standby. I then fired a warning shot.

"Don't shoot!" A very familiar voice said.

"Who are you?" I asked. "State your business."

"Haley Ernest!" They said.

I jumped from the roof and ran full speed to them and hugged Haley.

"Mom, I missed you," I said.

"Oh, hang on," I said. "False alarm, stand down, deactivate the priming sequence."

"Well look at you, in charge of an army and commandeered the emperors' solar laser, I'm proud," Haley said.

"It was all for you and dad," I said.

I invited her and her group inside.

"How did you get away?" I asked.

"We broke out, stole some gear and went guns a blazing," Haley said.

"Will you help break dad out?" I asked.

"Sure thing," Haley replied.

Later that day I was inspecting my fully regenerated leg and my scars. I looked in the mirror and saw Haley.

"What are those?" She asked.

"I said it was all for you and dad, didn't I?" I replied.

She then sat on the floor.

"Please explain," Haley said.

I explained everything to her.

"Dammit, Dan," She said under her breath in a pissed tone.

"But you understand why we need to get him back?" I asked.

"Yes, I do," Haley said.

The next day I went over the plan with everyone.

"We have to wait till the laser is passing over the capital," I said.

We started to head for the capital and there was an army waiting for us. I felt light and found that the feeling was unnatural and odd.

"What the?" I asked with a faint echo.

I looked at my hands and then noticed that my physical body was lifeless on the ground.

"No, no, no," I said. "This isn't right, What happened to me?"

I tried to tell everyone to surrender but no one could hear me. It was like I was in limbo or something. I tried to hijack the comms and tell them to surrender and Zeik seemed to have a stunned look on his face.

"Zeik, If you can hear me nod once," I said.

Zeik nodded and I told him to surrender and he complied.

"Everyone surrender they outnumber us ten to one," Zeik said.

Then Alex moved to my body and there was a dart in the center of my chest with a substance in it that I couldn't Identify.

"Allen, please wake up, Allen, please don't leave me, please," Alex pleaded in tears.

I did a little thinking and thought that if I concentrate on what I am trying to do it might work. I went over to the army and concentrated on pulling the pin out of their grenades and it worked. The grenade went off and the army was dumbfounded.

"What is going on?" A soldier asked. "Who did that?"

I concentrated on talking to just that soldier.

"Your worst nightmare," I said in a pissed voice, pulling the pin on his grenade.

I leveled the playing field and went back to my group.

"Alex, I'm not going anywhere," I said to Alex.

"Everyone I am here in spirit literally and I will support you all from limbo," I said.

We swarmed the capital and made our way to the fortified structure at the far end of the city. When we got there I told Alex to remove the dart from my chest and she did.
