"Amé."

Amé turned around upon hearing her name, searching in the crowd that was rushing out of the class to find where the voice had come from. She turns around for she felt a tap on her shoulder and looked up. It was Donavan Anderson.

"Hey Don," Amé smiled.

If Donavan wasn't already engaged, he would've thought her beautiful. It was a reason why Amé wasn't reserved toward Donavan; he loved his fiancé and his love allowed an immense room of respect and distance between the two. Too many times has Amé talked to a taken man, and received unfair backlash.

"Can I speak with you for a moment Amé?"

Amé instantly nodded. She had learnt from her older sister to reach out to people and let them reach out to her. It was also in her to be there for people, no matter the consequences. A gift and a curse.

So they walked away and toward one of the doors that led them outside to the gardens. She loved walking the gardens. She loved anything that outshined society with its simplicities and easy-going beauty. Flowers reminded her of that.

"What can I help you with Don?"

"Okay so, I know you're super busy, that of middle of semester and– fuck it college is stressful from beginning to end," they both had to laugh at that, with a pang of pain, because it was surely true, "but I need a favor for my psychology class."

"If I can, I will." She also learnt that from her sister. To not say yes right away. She usually didn't and agreed, but she tried to get it into a habit, like Ina would want.

"So for my psychology class I am supposed to interview someone interesting, and analyze their behavior patterns and whatnot."

Amé laughed, an easy going smile that made Donavan's heart flutter. Would she say yes? Would she say no? Why is she smiling but it doesn't reach her eyes?

"You want to shrink me." Her eyes twinkled in mischief and sparked with some anger.

Donavan opened his mouth to disagree, but, in terms of those who don't study toward a psychology major, she's right. "Look you're an enigma everywhere you go. You're not just a smart introvert with a serious case of I-Go-To-WU-So-I'm-Better-Than-You, type of girl. You're... you stand out."

Amé wished it was for good things. In reality, she stood out because there were rumors, rumors she wasn't as innocent as she appeared and few guys claim to have heard of her "slutting" around and about in the east coast. She shrugged the rumors off.

"Lets do it now," Amé said in a monotone. "It's best to get it out of the way."

"Oh- n-now? Oh, okay."

Amé and Donavan sat on the grass, and she patiently waited for him to gather his things. Pen, pencil, recorder, paper, laptop, etc.

"Let's begin easy, would you say your bisexuality is because of traumatic experiences as a child?"
