As you walk through the busy streets of New York in the middle of July, you look around for a good place to eat. It's 1:30 already and you're starving. You skipped breakfast because you were too excited to see the sites and were too amazed to realize what time it was. When you finally did, your stomach was hating you. So you decided to make your way through the crowded streets to find a good place to eat. Maybe a diner or something. Something small and easy but still with plenty of New York style to it. You are on vacation after all, you want to get the full experience.

And, since you are a big fan of Sebastian and you know he is in New York right now, not filming anything, you had hoped when you planned this trip that the experience would include running into him. But you knew it was a stretch and wishful thinking on your part. There was a one in a million chance that you would just bump into Sebastian on the streets of New York and instantly become friends. You know you shouldn't let yourself dream stuff like this because then you get so disappointed when they don't happen but you can't help it. You dream big.

As you're walking around, looking for the perfect cafe or restaurant to eat at, you can't help but scan the streets, crowds of people, and crosswalks for Sebastian. You stop yourself and start looking for a place for lunch.

Stop it, (y/n). You'll only make your disappointment worse. You're not going to run into him. And even if you did, it's not like he'd wanna be friends with you. I mean, what do you think would happen? You might leave with selfie of the two of you and that's it. Never to see each other again. Just forget about it. It's never gonna hap-

Your self-scolding and deep thinking are suddenly halted when you ram your shoulder into a very tall person accidently. It was quite the impact so you both stumble a little bit and have to catch your balance. You can't see the person's face but you can tell it's a man that you ran into. You turn to face him.

"Oh, I'm so sorry-"

You immediately go wide-eyed when you see who it is.

No. Way.

What are the odds. Sebastian looks at you after straightening himself up again and smiles at you. Obviously you recognize him.

"That's alright. No harm done." You just stand there and look at him, your mouth slightly agape. You expect him to just keep walking, seeing as you can't even speak but he just stands there in front of you. You force yourself to close your mouth and make a normal face. You don't want to attract attention. You look around you at the hustling and bustling people with a glance back at Seb every other time.

"Um..." You have no idea what to say.

Come on, (y/n)! You've rehearsed this a thousand times! Where did it all go?! Where's your 'I love you and I wanna be friends' speech you've had planned since 6 months ago?! You do nothing but stare.

"Do you wanna picture?" he asks sweetly, all the while keeping the same smile since you first apologized.

"Um... Uh, yeah. Yeah, I-I do. Yeah, uh, yeah," you stutter as you pull out your phone from your back pocket and open up the camera. You roll your eyes at your awkward self. He chuckles at you. It makes you smile and blush.

He leans down next to you and smiles when you take the two selfies. He straightens up as you look at the pictures and then slide your phone back into your pocket. That smile has never left your face.

"Did they turn out ok?" he asks. "Oh, uh, yeah. Yeah, they turned out great. Thank you." You honestly don't think you can stop smiling. He nods.

"Well, have a good day..." he trails off, leaving you to fill in with your name.

"(Y/n)," you tell him.

"...(Y/n)." He smiles and starts walking away. No no no! He's leaving! Quick! Do something! You watch as he is getting further away in the crowds, unobserved to anyone else. You run after him.

"Wait!"

He turns around and sees you again and stops. You catch up to him and stare for a second, trying to think of something to say.

"Um... do you know any good places to eat around here?" Ooo. Yeah. Good one, (y/n). That's a good, valid, believable question.

"Oh yeah! Definitely. There's this place just a couple streets down from here that's really good called (cafe/n)."

"Oh. Okay. Great... Thank you." He nods then stares and smiles a second then turns to go. You just stare after him. To your surprise he doesn't get 3 steps before turning around again walking back to you. Just seeing this made you die. He is walking back to you. Wow. It's a dream come true.

"Do you mind if I tag along? I'm starving and I have no plans for lunch. Plus, (cafe/n) sounds good. I haven't had it in awhile." You just stare up at him, your mouth agape once again in shock.

He just asked if he could have lunch with you. Hang on, (y/n). You can't keel over now. Not when Sebastian Stan just asked to have lunch with you.

You shake your head out of your thoughts and close your mouth. You smile really big up at him.

"Uh, yeah. For sure. You can definitely... uh, come. Yeah, let's-let's go." You smile shyly and stand aside to allow him to walk with you. He smiles and walks by your side. He may not be able to see it, but you are absolutely exploding right now. How you're being so calm on the outside, you'll never know.
