❀ ✿ ❀ ~ Andrew ~ ✿ ❀ ✿
My future Beta's voice startles me awake. "Wake up, Andrew."
I groan as I slide lazily out of bed and towards my bathroom to take a shower. Fifteen minutes later, I'm in the kitchen chugging down a bowl of cereal setting the bowl in the sink and grabbing my bag.
"Andy!" I voice calls and I wince at the sharp nasal voice. I plaster a smile on my face as I turn and see Gloria standing in the kitchen doorway.
As politely as I can manage I mutter, "Yes, Gloria?"
She smiles widely, "Can I ride with you today?"
I nod tightly, "Sure, why not?"
She claps her hands, "Great! Carry me?"
I grumble under my breath as I hide my annoyance, picking Gloria up, glad that she weighs as light as a feather. I carry her out the kitchen door and down the pack house steps, towards my car sitting parked outside. I carry her to the passenger side and set her down, opening her door.
"Thanks, babe," she grins and slides in and I roll my eyes as I shut it a little too hard behind her. She ignores it as I walk around and get into the driver's seat, staring the engine and then doing a sharp u-turn out of the parking area.
A few minutes later I pull into the parking lot and find a space near the front, jumping out quickly before she can say anything to me. I hurry towards the school and into the hallway, grinning as people make way for me.
Suddenly, a short girl stumbles into me and sparks go up my body and I look down as my wolf howls inside me in happiness. "Mate!"
My happiness quickly disperses as I realize the 4'9 girl standing in front of me is Gloria's younger sister, Evangeline, known as the Omega in my pack.
My eyes find hers and flicker down to her lips that part slightly, my wolf ushering me to kiss her. I ignore him as she whispers quietly, "Mate?"
I growl as I shove her through a doorway that leads into a stairwell as her back meets the wall. Her bright green eyes stare at me softly as my wolf begs me not to do what he thinks I'm gonna do.
"You are not my mate, and I will never, ever consider you to be my mate." I snarl at her, glaring harshly at her. "You're an Omega, and I'm the heir to an Alpha, I cannot be seen with the likes of you. You are pathetic, worthless, and an excuse of a wolf. I, Andrew Ryan Jones, reject you, Evangeline Marie White."
Her green eyes darken, changing from a lime green to a dark forest green color. "You were... supposed to love me."
I resist the urge to laugh at her, feeling a little guilty I see her heart breath. "Well, I don't, and I never will."
My wolf growls at me, "She is your mate! You treat her with respect!"
"I have a reputation to uphold! I can't be seen with a girl like her... she's an Omega."
"Who cares? They will bow before you and her as you rule together. Mates are mates, no matter what."
Evangeline's eyes fill with tears and begin to drip as she wipes them away with her sleeve. Her fists clench at her side, "Mark my words, Andrew, you will regret everything you just said."
I watch as she turns sharply, pushing the door open that leads outside and darting towards the woods. My wolf howls in pain, "How dare you!"
I block him out of my mind as I close my eyes, taking a shaky breath. The door to my left opens and my sister pushes her way into the stairwell, "What the hell, Andrew?!"
