"Sorry there are no more rooms, there's only three here, one for Jessie, one for Jason and Cait, and one for us."

"That's okay," I feel my cheeks warm and I try to ignore his slight smile. I go into the bathroom to shower and wash the dirt off my body.

When I step out of the shower and wrap a towel around me, a set of my pajamas are sitting on the counter. I dry off and pull them on, shutting the shower off and walking out of the bathroom. Justin sits on the bed, his back to me, and his head in his hands. He straightens and looks back at me, "Nice shower?"

I nod my head and sit on the bed, "Mhm."

"Good," he murmurs and collects a pillow from the bed and a blanket from the closet. I eye him and raise an eyebrow.

"Whatcha doing?"

"Sleeping on the couch?" he looks back at me again.

"Oh..." I trail off, not sure what to say next and he clears his throat.

"And I'm sure you don't wanna share the same bed."

I look at the empty spot beside me, "I mean, if you want, I wouldn't mind."

"Are you sure? If you get too antsy I'll go downstairs or sleep on the floor."

I shake my head, "Here is fine,"

"Alright," he turns away and I blush as he turns the fan on and then turns the light off. A tiny amount of moonlight filters through the curtains, casting an eerie glow on the carpet. I slide under the covers and he follows suit after putting the pillow back.

The next morning, I wake up curled against Justin's chest. I look over my shoulder, seeing that sunlight has just begun to come through the window. My heart begins to beat faster, slamming against my ribcage. I swallow the lump in my throat and inhale softly, his scent immediately calming me.

I try to fight it as my eyelids grow heavy and I reluctantly let myself succumb to the exhaustion.

When I wake up, I'm alone and his side of the bed is slightly cold. I push up and slide up the bed, leaning against the headboard. Did I freak him out?

I brush off my negative thoughts and slip out of bed, pulling on some workout clothes. I go into the bathroom and brush my teeth, running a comb through my hair. I head downstairs, finding Jessie in the kitchen eating breakfast. She smiles at me, "Morning."

"Good morning," I murmur and grab a plate, piling on a little bit of everything. I get a cup of orange juice and sit beside her at the table.

She looks over at me, "How'd you sleep?"

"Surprisingly well, actually." I murmur and she smiles. Probably because you were with Justin. I look at her in surprise, her voice appearing in my head. My lips part, "What?"

She raises an eyebrow, "What?"

I frown and look at my food, "Nothing. Where's Justin? He was gone when I woke up."

She glances over at the calendar hanging on the wall and then sighs, "At the lake, this day six months ago he met his mate."

"Oh... what happened to her?"

"They got in a insignificant argument and she went for some air. She came across a group of hunters... and they captured her."

My jaw drops, "Really? Oh gosh."
