Chapter 9

*Kate's PoV*
"Here, save your phone number." Asked the Queen. As she took her phone out of her bag.
We had stayed at our place in each other's arms all day. I mean we moved a little here and there and we did share a few soft kisses; but we were still stuck in our embrace. I have never felt this safe before, she just makes me feel like this, she has this effect on me. I just love how she looks at me, like if I am vital for her. I look in her eyes and it feels like if I'm falling into thin air, falling from the ground to the infinite night summer sky, it's something so inevitable and easy yet so impossible in any situation away from her. Just by looking at her eyes I feel like I'm being transported into another dimension, it's like she lifts me from the ground and flies with me to a galaxy so clear where we are the queens of our lives.

But...
What if she is faking?
What if this is all a sick joke of her friends?
What if she is just The Queen waiting for me to open up so she can finally destroy me?

She handed me her phone, when I was trying to reach it, it was impossible to hide the fact that I am now shaking.
"Is there something wrong?" She asked.
"No." I answered and pecked her lips.
I lied. Everything is wrong. I mean... This gives me a weird feeling... This...
I looked straight into her eyes.
Is there doubt? Is there fear?
Is she the Queen?
"I'd rather not save my phone number. Sorry." I said after a long moment of silence.
She was caught off guard. I know this wasn't what she expected... But after a month of not talking to me... Can I actually trust her?
"It's cool." She said with her casual smile that couldn't reach her eyes, is she hurt?
She put her phone back in her pocket and got up.
Chrissy got her bag and started walking back to school, not looking at me. As she was going down the hill I started thinking about how should I feel about this... Happy that the Queen is back? Scared of what comes next? Sad because of the fact that she didn't say goodbye? Angry at me for trusting the only girl that has made my life miserable?
I felt something wet fall down my cheeks. I was crying.
"Taylor..." she spoke before entering the building. "I wasn't lying at the hospital... and I am not lying now. Please trust me when I say that I want to fix everything I've done to you... I'm sorry you met me now... But this is who I am... Or at least who I was trying to be. I will prove to you that I'm not the Queen, trust me I will."
She went inside and I hugged my legs as tears went down freely. I wished with all my heart for those words were true. I needed them to be true. Even if they were a lie, you were giving me hope.
Chrissy. Please don't hurt me again.

*Chrissy's PoV*
I was wrong.
I thought Kate would see through me. I thought I could show myself. I thought I could be everything. I thought... I thought wrong.
She is scared of me. She doesn't trust me. She hates me. And with good reason... What should I do? Is it too late?
Kate... you met me in my worst time. I will change back. I swear Gaby would be happy to see me like that.
"THERE YOU ARE!" Yelled Jen as she walked towards me.
"Hey... what's wrong?" I asked her.
"WHY THE FUCK DID YOU HIT LEON?!?" She yelled at me.
I stayed quiet.
"You owe them an explanation you know?"
Silence.
"Do you seriously love her?"
Silence.
In less than a second she pulled me to an empty classroom and put her hand on my mouth.
"I knew she was a lesbian. Wait till I get to her..." My eyes were now wide open from fear. Leon.
"It's okay love, she will make things up to you. She needs you." Holly...
"I will fucking kill her if necessary. NO ONE MESSES WITH MY NOSE"
"Stop being such a crybaby. Let's talk to her."
"I won't talk to her. She will fucking regret this."
"Calm down. Let's keep looking"
As we heard them walk away Jen let me go and I fell to the ground.
What the fuck will I do?
"Chrissy. We must go. Do you have somewhere to hide?"
"No. Find Taylor. She is in danger. I can take care of myself." I answered already knowing where to go.
"Okay... Take care."
"Go for her for fucks sake!"
She ran out of  the room and I picked up my phone. I know who to call.
"Luke?" I asked after the call was answered.
"Kate! Are you o... okay?" He asked.
"Yes. I just need to go to your house."
"Sure... I'm at the m... mu...music hall. I c..can hide you fr...from them."
"I owe you one." I ended the call and got out of my hiding spot.
The bright side of my musical secret is that I know THOUSANDS of secret routes and hallways that can lead to the music room. So it took me 20 minutes to arrive to the music hall but being completely sure that I wasn't being followed. I got in and as soon as I saw Luke I ran towards him and hugged his ass off.
"Shit girl I th...thought you were dead."  He commented hugging me back.
"I'm dying Luke... I don't know what to do now..."
"Is she okay?" I immediately knew who he referred to.
"I hope so... Jen went to protect her."
"Your cousin is cute tho..." He said and I hit him on a friendly way.
"DUDE! Family is OFF limits!" I glared him.
"Ch...chill woman.. I was joking."
"You better fucking be." I grabbed his jacket and his car keys. "Let's go."
I put his jacket on and walked to the school's parking lot.
I got in the car and waited for my bass player.
"Wanna grab a burger dearest Queen?" He asked turning the engine on.
"Yes please." I agreed.
And so another day ended.
