Chapter 14

*Chrissy's PoV*
I went back to the now green gym filled with anger. Luke is a fucking asshole.
And I'm a piece of shit for letting it happen.
"Chrissy... About what happened..." Luke found me first and I was ready to let all my anger go.
"DON'T EVER TALK TO ME AGAIN! You monster. You sick fuck!" I yelled and hit him with all my strength.
One. For me.
Two. For Kate.
Three. To teach that asshole.
I lost count of my hits but when I got up he was unconscious and full of blood.
"AND DON'T EVER TALK TO ME!" I screamed and left. With some luck I can still catch her.

I felt my soul leave my body when I reached the truck.
There were ambulances, policemen and firefighters everywhere. A bus and a girl with a turquoise dress on the ground getting lifted by some paramedics.

Holy shit I have fucked up big time.

I got out my car and ran towards my girlfriend. A policeman stopped me.
"Miss you can't go any further." Explained the police officer.
"You don't understand. She is my girlfriend. I must go with her." I begged crying my eyes out.
"I'll let you pass miss... But just because we need someone to go with her to the hospital." I thanked every fucking god possible and got into the crime scene.
"STRAIGHT TO THE AMBULANCE ROMEO!" Ordered the cop and I obeyed quickly.
I took her hand and cried all the way to the hospital while the paramedics kept her stable.
Once we got to the hospital the paramedics ran to get her to surgery and I ran behind her until the nurses told me to stop.
I collapsed on the ground and cried my eyes out. But I needed her friends to know. I took my phone and texted Jen.
Chrissy: JEN! Please answer me!
Jen: Where the fuck are you?! Where's Kate? How is she?
Chrissy: I'm at the hospital. Get her friends here. She got hit by a truck. Come here quick.
Jen: okay. I'm on my way.
I locked my phone and sat next to the door where Kate went in and waited. Prayed. Begged.
I need her back with me.

Twenty minutes later, Jen and Kate's friends arrived. Jey, Tergel, Sophi and my cousin ran to hug me. The second I touched them I started crying again.
"I KNEW YOU WERE GOING TO BE THE END OF HER!" Yelled Nix filled with hate.
"I... I couldn't have known..." I said between sobs.
"But everything bad happens next to you! Look. If my friend gets out of this. I want you out of her life forever. I've lost enough because of you." She spoke with all the anger she had inside.
"Nix... Please... She also needs us." Begged Soph not letting me go.
"No. It's okay." I said and went to face her.
"Nix. I fucked up with your cousin. I was selfish and self-centered... I never saw how evil I was... But Kate is different. I won't leave her side until she tells me to." I declared not thinking about anything else but Kate.
"I loved your cousin Nix and not a day goes by that I don't regret what I did to her. THAT'S WHY I REFUSE TO LEAVE KATE'S SIDE." With that said I fell down and cried.
"I love her just as much as you do... or more... I can't imagine a life without her... not after I finally got her..." I kept crying until I felt Sophie and Tergel hugging me.
"We understand. We will wait with you." Said the asian.
"You guys are as blind as Kate." Said Nix before rushing outside.
"Don't mind her... Her bark is worse than her bite." Said Jey softly.
"I just want her to be okay." I begged crying.
"She will." Replied Tergel.
We hugged each other for a while. Begging. Praying. For someone that tells us: "she is okay."
Two hours passed and nothing.
At the end of the third hour a doctor came out and we all jumped up from the uncomfortable stairs.
"Family of Kate Taylor?" Asked the doctor.
"It's us." Answered Jey.
"Okay... Your friend is alive and stable... But... She is now on a coma since her brain won't react yet." Explained the doctor.
Coma.
Why.
The.
Fuck.
WHAT HAVE I DONE?
I fell on the ground and started crying my eyes out. I felt like every little hope left was leaving my body. I swore that no one would hurt her again.
But it was me who fucking left her in a coma.
The doctor left but I could no longer feel a thing. She is alive. But she can't know how sorry I am. I only want her to react.
"Hey... Wanna go see her?" Asked Soph getting on her knees to reach my height.
I stopped crying and got up. Maybe she can feel me and get up.
"Yes" was my only answer.
I walked behind a nurse until the room she was in.
Under all the bandages, was the girl I love.
"Thank you." I said to the nurse.
She put a chair close to her bed and motioned me to sit.
I sat and took her hand.
"I'm so sorry my love." I broke into tears in the hospital room.
I stayed next to her, all night. In the morning in came Nix.
"I recommend you to leave, bitch." She said.
"No."
"Her father knows who you are... Monster. And is coming here."
"I'm not scared."
"I don't want any more pain... Leave now." Begged Nix.
"Costanza." I heard a strong male voice. The real fucking monster.
"GET AWAY FROM MY DAUGHTER YOU MONSTER!" Yelled and I understood why Kate was so afraid of her.
I got up... Let go of her hand and left in silence. I don't want any more violence with her near.
I sat next to the hospital door and waited there until he left.
Bad idea.
"Are you still here?!" Asked his father.
I didn't answer.
He then pushed me to the ground and kicked me on my stomach.
"GET AWAY FROM HER YOU MONSTER!" Yelled before kicking me again and leaving.
A nurse came in. She helped me get up on my feet and asked me if I was okay. I replied that it was only pain, but nothing serious.
Nothing compared to the pain in my chest.
Knowing my love is in a coma. Knowing my crown condemned me.
Knowing I fucked up with her.
That hurst like a million bullets in my heart.

"I won't give up." I said after a while.

And I was certain about it. I will stay here until she wakes up.

Two months later.
Yep. I'm still waiting. I missed graduation and almost all of my vacations. I had to go to do some tests to apply to college but I have no idea what I'll do with my life.
Luke never tried to reach me after prom. But Dan and Will did.
They kicked Luke from the band. They knew he was sick.
Jen told me Holly was like a caged lion after her prank went wrong.
Kate's friends were almost always here with me. They trust me a little more now. Except Nix. That bitch hates me still.
But nothing matters really without Kate.
I felt her hand move. I jumped from my seat and Soph stood up too.
"HOLY SHIT SHE'S COMING BACK!" Yelled her friend with a huge smile.
She slowly opened her eyes and I started crying from happiness. She is awake.
"Soph..." was the first word she said.
"KATE OH MY GOD YOU ARE AWAKE!" Yelled my partner and rushed to hug her.
I rushed to the hallway and called a nurse. She is awake holy shit.
"What are you doing here Costanza?" She asked full of anger and fear.
Fuck.
"She's been here since the accident." Explained her friend.
"THEN DON'T BE!" She screamed.
"Kate..." Soph tried to make her calm down.
"LEAVE! I beg you are waiting for me to get better to make me miserable again!" Yelled and I started to cry.
"You heard her monster." I felt her dad speak from behind me.
"LEAVE! And don't come back again!" Yelled the girl I loved and I only could leave.
And cry.
She forgot about me. She only remembers The Queen.
I got in my car.
WHY THE FUCK DOES THIS HAPPEN TO ME?!
My phone rang. It was a text from Soph.
Soph: I'm sorry for what happened. She swears she is on 9th grade :(
Chrissy: It's okay... Tell her I love her.
Soph: you know it'll make it worse...
Chrissy: okay...
Soph: i'm sorry. I can't do anything.
Chrissy: I know... Bye.
I blocked my phone and turned it off.
This was the end of me.
How can I live without her?

I packed a small bag and left town. I can't be in the same city as her...
I can't do anything but run away... I don't want her tu suffer again.
