Jake, Chance and Anthony all headed to Brooke's room being as quiet as they possibly could. Jake typed Brooke's password into the door keypad and slowly opened the door.

The boys had decided to prank Brooke this morning. It was Anthony's idea and them being obnoxious guys immediately agreed.
Today's prank would be placing thousands of thumb tacks in front of Brooke's bathroom door while she was showering.

"Now we wait." Jake whispered after all the thumb tacks were in place.
"Look how clean her room is compared to the rest of the house." Anthony scanned the neat room.
"Shhh." Chance's head quickly turned to the door opening.
Revealing a surprised Brooke in nothing but a white towel.
"What the hell..." she gazed at the thumb tacks. "Guys. Get out! I literally don't have any clothes on." She hid behind the door.
Chance struggled to keep his eyes from wandering.

Brooke closed the door.
"What do we do now?" Jake whispered.
"I think we leave.." Chance whispered back.
Brooke opened the door again this time wearing a tank top and shorts. She plopped a towel on the ground and pushed all the thumb tacks out of her way making a clear path.
"You guys can't prank me." She stood in front of Jake. "You're all too are stupid." She laughed and pushed Jake to the door.
"Okay thanks for the fun, bye." She motioned for Chance and Anthony to leave.
"She really just ruined our prank."
Jake was still frozen.
"She's too smart bro." Chance patted Jakes shoulder and left.

*later on in the day -
Brooke's pov*

I was sitting down with Jake on the couch when I got a call.
"Ello." I accepted the call from my mom.
"Brooke, are you in a quiet place?" She asked, her voice low and gentle.
"Um, gimme a minute." I walked away from Jake who was watching a YouTube video and up the stairs. "Okay, I'm in my room. Is everything alright, mom?"
"Brooke. Sweetheart, I'm so sorry. But there's been an accident."
