9:30
Brooke's pov

"Are you home right now?"

"Yeah, we just got back." I was still shaking.

"Alright, I'll come pick you up in 10."

"Thank you, Lo." The call ended.

The house was quiet. I'm not sure why. That seems to be a reoccurring theme lately.

After Chance and I had gotten home I went into my room and isolated myself. In fear of Chance catching me unprepared and wanting to talk.

Lo🤮:
I'm here loser

Me:
Get rid of that attitude. I'm bringing you a bagel.

I rushed downstairs, passing by Nick on his computer and grabbed my bagels.
"Hey, Santos. What's got you so rushed?"
Nicks accent is always my favorite thing to hear.
But without stopping, I yelled from the door
"Got an important business meeting!" And left, being greeted by fans outside of the Team 10 house. I hopped into Logan's Jeep and we sped away.
We ended up at some park I've never been to, and sat on one of those grimy picnic tables.
"So, what's up?"
Logan sits in front of me and takes a bite of his bagel.
I hesitated to speak.
"I, uh, kinda maybe sorta,
kissed Chance."
I avoided eye contact with him.
"Finally."
His voice was unbothered, which bothered me.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN-"
I realize how loud I got and looked around the park, but there was hardly anyone here. "What do you mean?" I repeated myself, calmly this time.
"Brooke, when you called me saying you needed to talk, I thought you were telling me you got pregnant and needed help covering it up." He laughed, leaving me confused. "Haven't you had a crush on Chance since like 1st grade?"
I could feel myself blush.

"Logannnn, I really don't know what to do, I'm scared, and you're nonchalantly mocking me while eating a bagel. Please just tell me what to do, you're always good at being a semi-responsible brother figure."

He smiled and crumbled up his bagel wrapping paper. "Tell me what happened."

"I was feeling, well, not the best. So Chance, being the amazing guy he is, took me to one of our favorite places, long story short, we fell asleep together, I somehow ended up falling asleep, on him." I couldn't help but smile "we woke up, watched the sunset, and I don't know why but I started thinking about Ally." My voice was chocking up just from talking about her. "I confessed my feelings to him, and we, just kinda kissed, and groped a litt-"
"OKAY, OKAY, I do not want the details."
His nose was scrunched up and eyes squinted at me. "Why are you freaked out?"

"Well, cause he's my best friend."
"Nope, Brooke, you and I both know this goes deeper than that."
I sighed. God Damnit, he's right. I hate when he's right. "Logan," my voice was soft. "I can't ruin him. He means too much to me."

Logan reached his hand to hold mine. "You've gotta stop with this. You're not a black hole, you're capable of love. I mean, look at us. My little brother be-friended you and we became even closer. How could I not love you, how could Chance not?"

"But it's different. Chance, knows me. But not all of me." I looked down at the table, focusing on all the stains it had "I ruin relationships, I can't let myself be loved in that way. He doesn't know that. He doesn't know about Bryan."
"Look at me." Logan's voice was calming and caring, "Bryan, wasn't your fault. Your childhood, wasn't your fault.
And I've never understood what you see in this kid, but he knows and loves you. Trust me. We all see it."
My cheeks blushed again.
"He's your best friend, he knows all your demons. He knows how big your heart is, and I know you're a smart girl. You'll make the right decision. But Brooke. It's time to let your heart have some control, your brain isn't always the best one to follow."
