Chapter 13
Brooke's pov

it was warm.
i forgot how warm La is.
The light from outside was shining in through my window and down onto my face. I had just woken up, and felt the warmth throughout my whole body.
It was calm, peaceful.
Or at least it was. Until someone was loudly speaking from directly outside of my room. It sounded like Jake.
Then I heard my door open, I didn't bother to see who it was, but when I heard Chances voice I quickly closed my eyes and pretended to still be asleep.
"shut up, you're gonna wake her up." Tessa loudly whispered. Oh how much I missed her.

Last night we didn't get home till 1am, (which Chance says isn't late. but I beg to differ).
I was so exhausted from the Jetlag so I didn't get to say hi to anyone else.

"She's still sleeping?" Nick said in a completely loud and non-whispery voice.

"SHHHHHH" everyone shushed him and it took everything in me not to laugh.
I felt someone come near me on the bed.
Before they could touch me I decided to have some fun.
"RAAAA" I jumped up in their face.
"AHHH" Tessa screamed and fell backwards.
Everyone laughed and I saw Jake holding his camera, Chance holding a cake with Anthony, Nick laughing at Tessa, and Erika also holding a camera.

"WELCOM BACKKK" they all cheered simultaneously.
"Thanks, guys." I smiled, glad to see all my friends again. I got up from my bed
-still in my short shorts and tank top-
and gave each one of them a hug; everyone decided we would meet downstairs for cake.

After changing into my jeans and T-shirt,
I headed down stairs and immediately got attacked by some dog I've never seen before.
"Woahhh, Apollo chill!" Jake ran to me and picked the dog up.
"Brooke, this is Apollo.
I'm sure you saw him in the vlogs.
Apollo, this is Brooke."

I was so confused. "Sorry to break it to you, Jake. But I didn't watch any of the vlogs while I was gone." The dog whimpered, I looked down at him still in Jakes arms. "Hi, Apollo." I said in the same voice you talk to cute babies in, "Why did no one tell me about you?" He licked my hand.
"He is pretty cute." I laughed.

"He loves Chance more than anyone else in the house. Guess you guys have that in common." He snickered and before I got the chance to hit him he ran away laughing as Apollo chased after him.

The house was quiet.
Jake was out probably finding some other way to destroy the house.
Chance and Anthony went to paintball.
Erika was out doing who knows what.

It was only me and Tessa.
plus nick, but he was at his desk working.
Tess and I laid on the trampoline catching up after my time away, Apollo laying on my chest. (I am now determined to be his favorite.)
"It was so much different without you."
"Really? I figured there was less arguing but not much would be different with me gone."
"Dude, there was no one to stand up to Jake and fight with him. No one to occupy Chanthony when Jake wasn't here, all they did was play video games. Erika and I had no one to help us illegally download movies. And no one bullied Nick." She laughed at the last part.

"Hey, that was the best part." Nick chimed in.

"Oh, so he IS listening." I smiled
"I missed you too Nicky."

"Did you see the comments on the last Team Ten video?" He asked.
"No why?"
"People actually think we hate each other." He scoffed.

"Yeah I don't blame them." Tessa interrupted. "You guys are really harsh on each other when the cameras are on."

"Well yeah, but that's only to entertain everyone. Does it actually seem like we hate each other?" I was genuinely surprised.

"If I was watching from an outside standpoint, yeah. I'd think so." She said.

"Should we say something?" I asked them.
"I don't think so, they know we're all a family. It shouldn't be a problem."

Before I could respond Chad came through the front door screaming into his Camera.

12:45

I walked out of my room and downstairs.
The kitchen lights were still on so I figured someone was down there.

I walked in and saw Chance editing. He turned around and took his headphones off.

"Why are you down here?" I asked while grabbing a water from the fridge.

"Tony's talking to some girl upstairs and I can't focus, Jake's recording voiceovers in the office, so this is where I decided to come." His eyes locked on mine.

"Wow, you're editing? Weird you haven't posting in like 2 months." I teased and sat beside him.

"You're in no place to make fun of my posting schedule." He smiled.

"Hey, I had an excuse." I smiled back.
"So do I."
"Oh do you?"
"Yup. Lack of motivation."
"That's not fair."
"Nothing is." He perked his eyebrows and turned back to his computer. "Why aren't you sleeping? I figured you'd still be exhausted." He asked not looking at me anymore.

"Actually the complete opposite. I slept in so late that now I'm not tired at all. The time zones really screwed me up."

Chance closed his laptop and turned to face me.
"I have a plan."
I quirked an eyebrow, "a plan?"
He got up and grabbed my hand dragging me towards the door.
"Chance, what the hell. Where're we going?"

"It's a surprise." He opened the door.

"Can I at least put some shoes on?"

He looked down at my feet, "hurry."

I quickly ran upstairs to grab my phone and some shoes.
Chance was waiting at the door.
I ran back down quickly and we headed out.

the air was cool and the sky was clear of clouds. there were no lights except for a few houses down the road.

Chance had my hand in his and we rushed towards the car, i eagerly hopped in excitement filling my body.

i missed this.
i missed La.
i missed my friends.

i missed him.
