My body was still.
I couldn't process anything.
I couldn't move.
A dark feeling of sorrow and grieve had taken over.
The tears had escaped my eyes.
Rolling down my cheeks I fell down to the ground not being able to comprehend the information that had just been given to me.
I hung up the phone without giving any response. I couldn't. What could I have said? There's nothing to be said.

I stayed on the ground unsure of what to do.
The sobs had came.
The tears were heavy and relentless.

Jake peaked his head through the door seeing the state of distress I was in.

"please, go." My voice cracked, the words barley making it out of my mouth.
"Jake, just go!"

He closed the door and I returned to my head. Thinking, as I always do.

*Chance's pov*
"Hey Chance?" Jake came into our room unexpectedly as he always does.

"Waddup?" I said looking up then realizing he was worried about something.
"What'd you do now?"

"I- uh, didn't do anything. It's Brooke."
He said silently causing Anthony's head to shoot up as well.

"She got a call from her mom. And I- I don't know, but she's not okay, she won't let me in." He looked at both me and Tony but I know this was directed towards me.

"I know she'll let you in." He cleared his throat. "Can you just make sure she's alright?" He went over to sit beside Tony playing video games.

I walked out into the hallway. The house was dark, the Team 10 sign being the only light source.
I gave Brooke's door four gentle knocks as I always do.

Turning the door knob and slowly walking inside I saw Brooke sitting on the ground.

"hey." I calmly greeted her and sat right beside her.
"Jake said you weren't feeling to well. Are you okay?" I put my hand on her knee.

"I shouldn't have yelled at him." Her voice raspy and fragile, she looked up at me and revealed her face full of tears.

"Hey, what's wrong? Please don't cry."
I scooter closer to her for comfort.

She rested her head on my chest.
"You're always coming to my rescue."
She softly giggled. "Sorry, for being so needy and problematic."

"Don't forget all the nights I kept you up because of my petty drama and problems." I put my head on hers.
"I kinda owe you."

It stayed quiet for awhile. Until I felt little tears soak into my shirt.

"my mom called." Her voice was soft again.
"It's Ally." She stopped.
I wrapped my arm around her.

"There was a car accident..." She snuggled into my chest and started to cry more.

"It's okay, let it out. I'm right here."
I turned our bodies so that I was now completely hugging her. My eyes starting to get a little glossy.

Ally was like Brooke's sister. She was the closest thing she had to a sibling besides Logan. I knew her and she seemed really great. She was always so happy and caring toward Brooke.
This is going to be so hard on her.

❦hours later.
*3rd person*

Chance and Brooke sat on the bed trying to book last minute flights to Ohio.
"So you're leaving first thing tomorrow?"
Chance asked.
"Yeah, if I can book this flight."
She looked over at him.
"Thank you for being here."

"Thats what best friends do right?"
He smiled.
She reached over to hug him again.
