Chapter 12.

Chance's pov.

"Bro, chill" Anthony put his hand on my shoulder in an attempt to slow me down.

"She hasn't been here in 5 weeks. I don't want her to panic when she sees that the lagoon is gone, theres spray paint all around the house, we have some random dog, the new Martinez room, scooters and motorcycles everywhere and not to mention the huge hole in her wall."
I continue to run around the house trying to fix things up.

"ARE YOU GUYS READY?!?" Tess hurried down the stairs with a huge smile plastered on her face. "Brooke finally comes home today." She grinned obviously excited to see her best friend.

"I thought her flight doesn't board till 8?"
Erika walked out of her room towards us.

"Yeah, but I don't want her to be overwhelmed by everything that's changed in the past month," My smiled slightly turned into a frown. "Especially after everything with Ally."

Everyone was quiet, unsure of what to say next. Till Jake came running through the doors from the backyard, "GOOOOOD MORNING,,, Jake Paulerss-" he continued his intro and everyone walked towards him except me. I wasn't in the mood to be on camera. I was too worried about Brooke.

On cue my phone started ringing. I looked down and saw Brooke was FaceTiming me.

"Hey, Sutton." Her voice filled my ears as I walked upstairs and answered the call.
"I come home today." She smiled brightly. I could tell she had just woken up.

"Isn't it like 12pm over there?" I laughed knowing she had slept in.

"I know you're not criticizing me on waking up late." She tried to sound serious but laughed.

"I'll have you know, I woke up at 7 today."

"I don't believe it." She rolled her eyes.
"Anyways, I just wanted to ask what you wanted."

I quirked an eyebrow, "What I wanted?"

"Yeah, I'm bringing home a souvenir for everyone."

"Surprise me."

Brooke's pov.

I'm so nervous.
I don't know why. But I am.

I've been gone for a little over a month.
I was only expecting to be here for 2 weeks, but as soon as my flight landed I knew I would stay longer. It's been so nice seeing my dad, mom, old friends.
I've missed my home town so much more than I thought I did.

only thing that could have made it better, was if Ally was still here.

It's been tough. I know she always wanted to visit me in Cali. I've been trying to stay positive but it's so difficult.

I'm glad I stayed the extra few weeks.
But I'm ready to go home.
To my new family.
To Chance.

"Ready to go back to your celebrity life?"
Bryan asked me, as I hopped into the car.

"Depends on what you consider a celebrity life." I gave him a friendly smile.
We both sat there, silence quickly filling the cars atmosphere. Bryan was my high school boyfriend who Chance isn't very found of.
