"Keep going."
Brooke says as she listens to Chance.

"No, I'm not an idiot. You're practically asleep already. Just admit you're tired." He responded laughing.

"I'm not." She smiles.
"Look my eyes are open."
The two laughed through the FaceTime call.

"Isn't it like 12 over there?"
Chance raised his eyebrows.

"Maybe.
Just finish the story, and then you can hang up."

"I don't wanna hang up. I just don't want to keep you up."

"Well you're not. Just hurry up and tell me what Jake did. Are we getting the dog?"

"I think so. Once Jake finally completed the-"

Brooke's eyes dozed off once again. Chance smiled but continued talking.

Brooke honestly didn't care about what Jake did.
They both knew that.

This trip back to Ohio had made her realize how much she needs everyone back home.
Especially Chance.

As much as she hates it,
She just wanted to listen to Chance's voice. She wanted to fall asleep listening to him.
And he knew it.

Brooke had completely passed out.
Chance watched his best friend peacefully sleep. She looked even more beautiful if that was possible.

If only they knew how much they loved each other.
