Beau moved around the large, stainless steel kitchen in search of dog food. She rummaged through the cabinets, but was left with no avail. She looked around the kitchen, once more before sighing. Rambo barked softly and walked next to the pantry door, and sat down.
Beau gave him a stale look.
"You saw me searching high and low for the dog food, and you just sat there."
Rambo barked, and panted staring at her.
She opened the pantry to find the canned dog food on the bottle shelf. She grabbed a can and opened it and poured it into Rambo's large dog dish.
"There ya go!" She smiled and scratched the eager dog behind its ear, though he paid no attention. He was focused on his food.
Beau walked to the large window in the living room and pulled back the curtain a little, watching the rain fall. She sighed, and closed it. She was stuck here, at Parker's house. The rain wasn't letting up anytime soon either, this was pathetic. She looked around the modern living room. Her eyes glanced at the silver remote on the coffee table she picked it up and turned towards the TV, maybe she could catch the weather channel. She pressed the power button, or what looked like it on the remote, and pointed it to the TV. She heard something humming, and froze. The lighting in the living room was getting brighter. She turned on her heels and watched the black curtains open. She placed the remote back on the table, fearing that she might break something.
Then she thought of his cars. She couldn't believe she messed them up! It was so embarrassing! It was weird, because it seemed as if he didn't mind, but then she remembered, Stephanie said he was an architect. Architects weren't filthy rich, but they were off pretty well. She shrugged and went back into the kitchen.
She was starving, after last night that is. Beau figured that she would make them breakfast, even though she couldn't cook, she could at least make a little something.
She opened the large fridge and stood in it, shivering from the cold. She grabbed the cartoon of eggs and a package of bacon and sausages, she could easily make that. Beau placed the items on the counter, and saw a package of blueberry bagels on top of a bread box. That'll do too.
Beau fumbled with the faucet once again, it was so fancy, nothing this simple as a faucet should be so hard to work.
Just when she thought she figured it out for the second time, she turned the knob and water surged out of the spout and onto her shirt, well Parker's dress shirt. She cursed silently, and tried wiping it with a dish towel, but it did no justice.
She mixed the eggs with a fork and poured into into the preheated skillet. The sound it made, made her feel as if she was the best cook in the world. She snorted, and place the bacon on a pan of aluminum foil, before setting it into the oven. Beau hummed 'Pocket full of Sunshine' and moved about in the kitchen fixing the two, breakfast.
----
Parker peeled his eyes open and turned on his back. He rolled over to see if Beau was there. Once again, the bed was empty. He sat up quickly, she left again?!
Parker stood up out of the bed and ran to his door, he didn't care if he was naked. He swung the door open frantically and ran into the living room.
"Beau!" Parker screamed loudly, maybe too loudly, but he didn't think she was there.
Beau jumped and dropped a metal coffee mug. She cursed again, this time, loudly," Shit!"
Parker relaxed and walked into the kitchen. Beau bent over to pick up the cup, giving Parker a slight view of her panties.
