_____________

Beau closed the book she was reading and placed it on her coffee stand that sat in front of her. Tired, she ran her hand down her face, closed her eyes tightly, and let out a yawn.

She opened one eye, peeking out at the small sliver of morning light that was trying drastically to shine in the dark room. But Beau wouldn't have it.

Her graveyard shift had tired her out, mentally and physically. All she wanted to do was sleep, and she vowed to do just that as she walked out to her car at the end of her shift. But as soon as she walked into her house and her phone lit up, she had other plans.

Her and Parker stayed on the phone while he got ready for work. As much as she wanted to sleep, she wanted to talk to Parker way more, after all, she was JUST sleepy. After reluctantly hanging up with Parker, Beau found herself staying up hours after their conversation, thinking about him. She found herself thinking of ways to try to take her mind off of him, even if it was just for a second. So, she found herself reading a book, but that didn't do justice.

Beau's mind deceived her by drifting off back to the day when Parker came back from his business trip, and how words were barely spoken. That day, Parker and Beau didn't need words, their actions described exactly how they felt for each other.

Beau squeezed her thigh as she thought about how they were wrapped around Parker's waist as he sensually pumped in and out of her. She remembered how her eyes rolled repeatedly into the back of her head as she called out his name many times in the night. She was definitely sure Chuck heard her moans, for the next morning as she saw Parker off, he gave her a knowing look.

Even now, Beau found herself needing him, hell she should of took him up on that offer of spending the night with him. But like a dummy, she declined. Beau looked up at the clock on the wall adjacent to her and checked the time 9:56. He would be calling in a couple of hours to tell her that he was on his way to pick her up for their lunch date.

Beau sighed, maybe she could get squeeze a little cat nap in before he came. Just to be safe that she didn't oversleep she grabbed her phone and set an alarm to wake her up at 11:15. Snuggling up under one of her couch throw pillows, she exhaled and stuck her hands in between her thighs, and drifted off.

" Are you sure she won't mind?" Levi eyed his bestfriend from across Parker's desk. He was sketching a Newton's cradle that sat on Parker's desk.

He dropped his charcoal pencil and rotated his wrist, wiping the black grunge off of the palm of his left hand, that was caused from it dragging across the paper as he drew. One of the perks of being a lefty.

Parker dropped his pen from the contract he was writing and nodded," Yes I'm sure, it's just lunch."

" I know that, but she seemed a little apprehensive at your Shangrila opening."

Parker looked up," You met her that night?"

" Yea? She was at the bar with that one kid-"

"Oh yea," Parker didn't want to hear anything about Christopher, he had Beau now, and he sure as hell wasn't letting her go," she was probably like that because she didn't know you."

Levi smiled, Parker was never this protective over anyone, besides his family, and especially over a woman. Levi thought he'd never see the day.

" But once I formally introduce you two, it'll be fine."

Levi nodded.

A knock sounded at Parker's office door.

Parker signed," Come in."
