I want this book to be no more than 20-something chapters, so it might pick up a little in speed.

Sue me.

***ThreeMonthsLater***

Beau pulled Parker's shirt over her head with a yawn. She scooted to the edge of the California King-sized bed, careful not to wake him.

She stood up and the shirt fell a little above her knees. With her eyes wide, she stumbled out of the room blindly and into the joining bathroom. She sighed and closed the door, relishing the feeling under her feet as they met the cool marble.

Beau flicked on the light and walked over to the toilet, relieving herself. She wondered what time it was as she flushed the toilet, knowing that it was probably really early. She yawned again as she washed her hands, before turning off the light and returning to the bedroom.

She crawled lightly back into the bed, and under the sheets. Letting out a long satisfied breath, she closed her eyes.

Parker sighed also and turned to face her, wrapped his arm around her stomach, and pulled her to his naked chest.

" Where'd you go?" His voiced laced with sleep.

Beau shivered, the way men sounded when they were tired always did something to her.

"To the bathroom." Beau answered quietly, loving the feeling of his strong forearm under her bra-less chest.

"Hmm." Parker leaned in and kissed the back of her curly head," Your hair smells good."

" Does it taste good as well?"

Parker pinched Beau's waist, causing her to giggle.

" Stop Parker!" She smiled into the darkness, " Honestly!"

Parker said nothing, he just pulled her closer, if that was possible.

"Go to sleep." Beau yawned and closed her eyes.

Rambo's loud barking is what woke Beau out of her sleep. She sighed and pulled herself out of the bed, she had to get up eventually anyway.

"I'm going to kill that dog." Parker groaned and turned on his side, trying to grab a little more sleep.

Beau looked at the clock on his nightstand," You won't. Besides its time for us to get up anyways."

"Why? Nothing's happening today." Parker was barely audible, because he was trying so hard to fall back asleep.

Beau rolled her eyes and opened the room door, Rambo's barking became louder. Beau closed the door behind her and walked down the hall into the living room.

"Shh! Rambo! You're going to wake Parker and he threatened to kill you." Beau smiled and went into the kitchen to fix him some food.

Rambo made a noise as if to say, " Yea right," before following her into the kitchen.

She poured the dog food into the dish, and put the bag back into the walk-in pantry.

She leaned against the counter and crossed her feet at her ankles, surveying the living room.

She wasn't hungry just yet, so she walked into the living room and picked up Parker's universal remote. Beau chuckled, as she remembered back then how she didn't know how to work it, now it was too easy. She skillfully pressed the button that moved the giant curtains back, exposing the crystal clear window.

Beau flopped on the leather couch before turning on the flat screen TV. Looking around the spacious, Beau noticed the obvious differences between Parker's home and hers. Beau's apartment had a cozy, homey feeling; while Parker's was sleek, elegant and immense.
