Yoongi tapped his foot against the pavement rhythmically, quietly humming one of his favorite songs as he waited for his dad to pick him up. He would have checked the time if his phone was in his back pocket, but the fragile machine was getting its screen repaired for what seemed like the fifteenth time that week.

The short-haired boy's piano lesson had ended at least ten minutes ago and his father was still nowhere to be seen. The situation was something the boy had gotten used to, though. All in all, Mr. Min was a stellar dad but lately he'd been getting more and more caught up in his work, effectively losing track of time more often than not.

He played with the soft fabric making up the sleeves of his tie-dyed sweatshirt, looking down at his vans-clad feet. Yoongi tucked a loose tuft of his mint hair behind his ear, the stubborn strand refusing to comply.

The autumn draft swept the crisp leaves from beneath his feet, chilling his legs even though he was wearing his seemingly warm pair of distressed jeans. Despite his dad insisting, he had absolutely rejected the idea of wearing anything other than a pair of ripped blue jeans, even during the coolest days.

The 17 year old looked down the busy main road, attempting to distract himself from the cold air engulfing him. He squinted, making out a familiar car in the distance.

A slightly run-down 1967 Dodge Polara veered to a stop in an empty parking spot in front of the music school, Yoongi's father motioning for him to get into the gray vehicle. He pulled open the door, sitting down on the red leather seat. The boy fastened his seatbelt, placing his messenger bag at his feet. He turned around to face his father, the man wearing an apologetic expression on his face that Yoongi knew all too well.

Mr. Min opened his mouth to excuse himself but Yoongi just raised his hand, letting his dad know that it wasn't a big deal. "The usual?" The 17 year old's smooth voice asked, silence filling the car as soon as the last syllable escaped his plump lips. His father just nodded before pulling out of the parking spot. They cruised down the street, a large variety of cars trailing behind them.

The bearded man focused his eyes on the road, boring his pupils into anything but his son's face. He tapped his fingers against the steering wheel nervously before reaching over to the radio to turn it on, switching it over to the classical station. It was the only genre of music the two could listen to together, other than that they had completely different tastes.

Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata filled the car, the sound wrapping around Yoongi and sending him into a calming trance. The notes flowed smoothly out of the speakers, creating music one could only wish to have composed.

Sure, the boy was a die hard rock fan but the complexity and structure of classical was something he was sure everyone could indulge in. He nodded his head along, looking out of the passenger side window and at the scenery rushing by.

Before he knew it, his father was pulling into their garage and turning off the music. The quiet engulfed the car, Mr. Min tapping on Yoongi's shoulder lightly.

"We're home. You either get out of the car or I bring you some snacks so you can properly enjoy yourself here." His father said lightheartedly and, just like that, the atmosphere returned to normal.

"I think I'll stick to the comfort of my bed, but the offer sure is tempting." He replied, a small smile playing his lips.

Yoongi threw his bag over his shoulder lazily, trudging up the steps and into his room. He put it down on the carpeted floor next to his acoustic guitar. Making sure to send his algebra homework a glare, he sat down on his bed and looked around before his eyes landed on a safe bet for a good time: his record player.
