Jimin glanced down at the magazines sprawled out over the glass counter, huffing under his breath. There had been another shipment, this one filled to the brim with more tabloids no one would ever buy.
The boy never really understood why people bothered with purchasing such useless newspapers, though calling them that would probably be degrading to actual newspapers, in a way.
Everything printed on the pages in big, bold letters was only there to grasp attention. Between the tacky layout and the even tackier paparazzi photos, he doubted anyone actually cared enough to read the overdrawn stories hidden in the fine font between them.
He sighed, picking the papers up with a certain distaste for the empty pile of fairytales he was holding because, who are we kidding, nothing but the names and the faces was real.
Everything else was petty drama, a waste of ink sprawled across a histrionic page amidst even more of the same.
Jimin trudged over to the empty shelf his boss'd prepared for the new additions to the store, his mood worsening with every magazine he placed on the rack that used to be inhabited by things worth reading. Things that left a moral in your heart that you'd carry with you for the rest of your life, or at least for a fragment of it. Things that had been moved to the back of the store to make room for impostors that didn't carry as much as half of the value the originals did.
'Times are changing.'
But we aren't obligated to change with them.
That's not what Jimin's boss thought, though.
'That's not what Jackson thought either' a small voice reminded the young boy.
The second that small voice appeared in his head was the second that a single tear ran down his pale cheek.
And with every toxic second wasted reminiscing about thunder, his eyes went from a calm ocean to an uncontainable storm.
