Jimin looked up at the cracked ceiling hovering over his room, the chestnut-eyed boy on his mind.
It seemed that Yoongi was the only thing the small boy could think about ever since they'd met and, frankly, the pink-haired had no clue how to feel about that.
The day before, when Yoongi dropped by the store, the sepia-eyed boy had been busy talking to his boyfriend.
Talking to, arguing with.
Lately, Jimin wasn't able to tell the difference, as far as Jackson was concerned. The spark that the two had shared in the very beginning had not only faded, but also began to rot into something ugly and detrimental. Something that had gone from a cherubic aubade to nothing but crackling noise.
Both Jiminie and his boyfriend were aware of it, of course, but bearing with the toxicity of their relationship was easier than stirring the pot with an elaborate break-up plan that would probably only crash and burn in the end anyway.
Although it wasn't an ideal plan, the shorter boy was content with waiting for whatever was left between them to fizzle out, however long that took.
At least before Yoongi showed up.
Only when the taller boy had marched into that record store had Jimin realized exactly how big of a drawback the relationship was, suddenly longing for it to be over.
If someone were to tell Park that he'd be willing to ditch his boyfriend at any given opportunity two years ago, he would've rolled his eyes and called them crazy, but now the bubblegum-haired boy is beginning to think that he may be the crazy one.
Jimin sighed, getting out of bed. Maybe a walk will help clear my head.
*
The pink-haired boy sat down on one of the many wooden benches scattered over the premises of the park. The male leaned back, looking at the colorful sunset before him. It was impossible to believe that time flew so fast. He could've sworn that he rolled out of bed just a few minutes ago though, actually it had been a few hours.
Though the walk was meant to be relaxing, the concept of time only seemed to stress him out more the second he began thinking about it. At this rate, I'll be on my deathbed before I know it.
Jimin shook the thought from his head, trying to get rid of anything that could ruin the unprecedented beauty of the sunset he was trying so desperately to focus on.
He bore his dark eyes into the alluring blend of colors, attempting to take in every single tint.
As the star sunk beneath the horizon, Jimin truly realized how splendiferous that evening was. The sky ranged from light incarnadine through various shades of ultramarine to deep plum hues in certain spheres. The awestruck boy's gaze roamed over the gorgeous, shapely clouds.
Suddenly, he felt someone sit down next to him, prompting him to snap out of his trance. Jimin turned around only to face his boyfriend.
Speak of the devil and he shall appear.
Park momentarily slid a fake smile onto his face, hoping that Jackson wouldn't be able to tell. After all, he hadn't noticed a difference for the past year so why would he start now?
"Hi, Jackson." The pink haired boy said as sweetly as he could, the three syllables slipping through his lips like icy honey.
"Can you cut the bullshit?" His boyfriend replied harshly. "We both know we're not as peachy as you make it seem." Jackson's tone was the exact opposite of the bubblegum-haired's: acerbic, tumultuous, malignant and... honest.
