| CHAPTER TWO | Him

ANGELIQUE'S POV

It's 7:30 in morning and I'm ready for school, all I want to do is just lay in bed.
Last night all I thought about before I went to sleep was Kian, I don't know why he is on my mind so much.

Like yeah his smile is amazing, his eyes are shiny, the way he looks into your eyes when he talks to you....SNAP OUT OF IT ANGELIQUE!!
I met him yesterday, I may not know how he is really like. But he just seems so perfect!!

"Angelique? "

"Angelique sweetie?" The voice gets louder.

I get snapped out of my thoughts of Kian.

"Oh uhh, yes mum?"

"Will you be alright walking to school? It's only a 15 minute walk"

"Yeah sure mum, that's okay" I smile awkwardly

"Hunny, are you okay? Is something bothering you? Don't you like school? Are the people mean?"

"No mum, I'm fine" I laugh slightly "Schools great, no need for the 21 questions.

"Okay well I hope so, I'm off to work but I'll pick you up after school. Same spot" She walks over to me and kisses my forehead goodbye.

-- 25 minutes later --

I was just walking to school with my earphones in listening to The A Team - Ed Sheeran. There isn't much kids who walk to school around my block.

I walked around the corner and bumped into someone. It was Crystal.

"Omg Hey I'm sorry" I say while giving her a hug "Are you walking to school?"

"No it's fine, yes I just forgot my pencil case that's why I'm going the opposite direction"

"I'll wait for you so we can walk together" I smile a little

"Well this is my house, I won't be long"

Crystal and I walked into school and sat in front of Mr Chambers class, the bell goes in about 5 more minutes so we just chilled on our phones.

I went on Facebook to see if Kian was online, and he was.

I didn't get to reply because the bell had gone for class. I won't deny it though, I do miss him. That doesn't mean I would have told him that I miss him because how weird would that be, but it's not like I can't say it in a friend way without it being sus?

She didn't reply? I was only joking, I didn't want to sound weird or anything. Why can't I ever be normal talking to a girl? Especially someone like her.

Angelique and I only met yesterday, there's just something about her that makes me smile everytime she is running through my mind. She's so upbeat and caring.... also beautiful.

I don't want to like her, I met her yesterday and there's still more I need to get to know about her but it's hard, I don't want to show signs that I like her because I feel like she's going to push me away afterwards.

ANGELIQUE'S POV

or the last 10 minutes in class, Crystal and I have just been discussing on what we should do at the end of the day when we hang out, I haven't told her about Kian coming over yet, I'll tell her at recess.

I wonder if she talks to Kian? Like I know they're friends as well, but I don't want her liking him. That may sound obsessive, I didn't mean it to be that way, it's just I hate when I like someone that I like.

"Do you want to sit on the oval?" I ask Crystal

"Sure, where's Kian? Is he at school yet?"

"He said that he'll be a bit late" As soon as I say this, my phone vibrates.

It's Kian.

I see Kian walk our way, my heart starts racing. He's so perfect, the way he has his hair, the way his eyes bright up in the sunlight, his bright skin, ugh! I can't even.

I know I can't tell Crystal anything because what happens if she does like him? I don't want to lose a friend I just made, I don't want Kian to find out I like him just in case he doesn't feel the same way. I just got to keep it a secret.

"Hey guys" Kian waved and smiled at us.

"Oh hey" I blushed.

"Hey Kian, do you want to come with Angelique and I after school?" Crystal asked.

"She's already asked me, so yes I am".

Crystal looked at me weirdly but smiled and agreed.

Why did she look at me like that? If she has something to say, then say it. I don't have a problem with Crystal but that look had fired me up! Just ignore.

"What do you want to do after school with us Kian"? I smile at him more "We could get subway?"

"Sounds good, I'm craving that now! What do you think Crystal?"

"What you said" Crystal looks at him but not in a good way.

Rest of the day was normal school work, but the only person that kept me from it was Kian. I was repeatedly day dreaming of him, I couldn't help it because the way he makes me feel is so warm and he just gives me butterflies everytime he looks at me.

I want our friendship to last.
