| CHAPTER SIX | Avoid

ANGELIQUE'S POV

Last night I couldn't sleep, due to what Crystal told me. I left her on read because I was speechless, I hope she knows I'm straight.

I'm going to avoid her today at school. If I step foot near her everything will just feel awkward for me and probably for her since I didn't reply. Maybe tonight I will message her and let her know my thoughts.

I arrived to school later then usual, I just can't be around her. I had missed calls from Kian and messages asking where I am and not responding but I just don't want to talk about it with him.

Why does he think I'm ignoring him. I wouldn't ever ignore him, maybe it's because what he said last night denying that he didn't try and hold my hand, I wish he'd be honest with that subject.

My mum drove me to school at recess but once I got there I sat in front of my next lesson, which isn't with Crystal or Kian, thankfully. I'm not going to sit with them yet because I'm just not facing Crystal with this awkwardness and Kian's dishonesty. I get it, yeah he just tried holding my hand, it's not a big deal but I just need to know if he likes me.

KIAN'S POV

I've messaged Angelique a few times but she isn't answering me, I miss her and I really wish she was at school today.

"Do you know where Angelique is?" I say to Crystal as I walk upto our usual spot.

"No, I haven't heard from her" Crystal responds in a low tone "She hasn't replied to me since last night" Crystal looks down.

"Is something going on between you two?" I look at her with concern "If so, you can tell me".

"Kian I'm not sure if I want to talk about it, I know you're my friend and all but this something I don't think I could tell anyone."

"If you aren't ready to tell me, I won't force the words out. But just know I'm here no matter what" I hug Crystal and stand up "Come on now, don't want to be late for class"

"Kian... Thanks"

"Don't worry about it" I smile at her.

CRYSTAL'S POV

I don't want to tell Kian she's probably avoiding us because of me, I don't want to tell him that I like her but she left me on read.

I might have just ruined my first friendship in this school, Angelique was nicer to me then any other person when I first came in.

How stupid could I be to let this happen, I should have just kept it to myself until the feelings sunk away. I know for a fact this is going to eat me up but it's my fault and it needs to be resolved.

ANGELIQUE'S POV

It's the end of the day and so far I've made it by avoiding Crystal and Kian. Kian has probably messaged me over a thousand times but there isn't from Crystal. He left a big paragraph but I haven't read it yet, if he sees that I've seen the messages than he won't stop messaging more. I'll reply to him soon.

Hey, I don't know why you're ignoring me but I just want you too know that I spoke with Crystal. Don't freak out, she didn't say what was going on but whatever it is, it needs to be sorted. Angelique she isn't the same today and you avoiding her isn't helping, please get it together and make sure it's sorted properly.
