Chapter 3:

Alex's Point Of View:

"I'll see you guys later!" I yelled from my front door towards my friends. Nico and Grover waved back and I finally turned and opened my door.

I had gotten to know them a lot during our time at the mall together and they were actually pretty cool. Well, I knew Grover mostly, since Nico didn't talk that much. Nico was very mysterious and dark which attracted me towards him more than ever. We were all planning to go to Ally's birthday bash at her mansion. Yes, she lives in a mansion. I wasn't going to go, but my best friend Kaitlyn was going. I said no at first but now because I wanted to hang out with the guys more so I said yes. I had texted Kait that she would meet me there and she literally squealed with joy, eventually making me deaf for 20 minutes.

I walked into our hallway before hearing my mother call out,"Alex? Is that you?"

I nodded stupidly before realising that she couldn't see me.

"Yes, it's me!" I said before going to the direction of her voice. I entered our small kitchen to see Bella on her phone as always sitting at the table and mom by the stove.

'Hum... wonder where David is.'

My mom married David after I was 12. My dad had left us when I was born. Mom said he was a very sweet man and he could have had his reasons but I still hated him for leaving my mother and I. Though David was a nice man, I hated Bella! She was 17 and just plain snobby. I especially hated it when mom and David left her to babysit me and she would invite one of her man-whore boyfriends over. I still can't the images out of my head when I accidentally walked into her room when she was with her boyfriend.

"Hey mom!" I said before sitting at the table.

"Hi sweetheart!" she said before taking the lasagne of the stove. My mouth drooled at the delicious smell.

"Mom, can I go to a party with my friends?" I asked her slowly.

Now, my mom is very amazing when it comes to going somewhere like parties. Since I'm very socially awkward, she lets me go anywhere as long as I have fun and don't do something stupid.

"Sure! When is it?" she asked.

"Tonight," I said.

"Do you have something to wear?" she asked turning so that I could see her face. My mom was very beautiful and she looked very young even though I was 15.

I nodded and noticed that during this whole conversation Bella was not making a snarky remark about me or my society problems. Hmm... weird.

I smiled before quickly heading upstairs to get ready.

** ** **

I was finally ready at 10. I had curled my usually straight hair making it wavy. I was wearing a flowing white blouse with red high waisted shorts. I put on my new black Vans and applied some blush and lipgloss. When I was done I grabbed my iPhone and my other essentials and put them into a cute little red and black hand bag.

I texted Grover and finally got a message that said:

We oitsibe daar? Cime!

Grover

I looked at the message before interpreting it into this:

We outside door! Come!

Nice English, Grover! Ever heard of spelling? Maybe Nico wrote it since he was dyslexic like me.
