"I just would like to see Google, if you wouldn't mind."
(Y/n) was lost for words at Kai-Fu's request. Why just him? Why did he feel the need to exclude her?
"I-I'm not sure that I'm comfortable with this-"
"Nonsense! We will just be browsing Google IRL's programming."
"I prefer to be called Googleplier, Mr. Lee."
She smiled at his comment slightly, not bothering to look behind her to know who it was. She could hear Kai-Fu sputter apologies to the A.I., causing him to go back to whatever he was doing before. He seemed to be cleaning the area, but she didn't really know why. Maybe it was that protective update that he had recently, but she wasn't sure. She held back a giggle as she and Lee returned to their conversation.
"Well, I would like to know what you have in mind."
"Ah, of course. You're a very intuitive young lady, don't you know?"
"I appreciate the compliment, but I would prefer that we continue on with this short conversation of ours." She reminded, trying not to be short with him. He coughed nervously, the static uncomfortable to her ears.
"My apologies. In regards to your inquiry, I would like for... Googleplier.. to come in so we can install some new and improved data chips. Nothing harmless or unauthorized. We have tested these chips on other bots such as himself and found that the results were astounding."
"What are the chips for?"
"Simple things such as house-keeping and generic tasks like folding laundry and doing chores around the house without authorization. It will even allow him to cook dinner for you before you get home from work."
"I'm not sure if I want a house-wife, Mr. Lee." She joked, obvious sarcasm in her voice. The man on the other side of the phone laughed.
"You have a way with words, Ms. (L/n). But there's also one other thing that I'd like to mention.."
Her ears perked up, "And what might that be?"
"We have developed a new chip that is used by analyzing the people closest to you. This way, Googleplier doesn't have to wait until they try to hurt you to know that they're a threat."
"I mean, with all of the success that you claim from the other chips, and I can't help but be curious." She teased, taking a sip of the tea that she had made herself.
"I am so glad that you say that, Ms. (L/n)."
"Please, just call me (Y/n). I'll send Googleplier over whenever you're ready."
"Wonderful. I'll have Mei pick him up now. Thank you, Ms. (Y/n). I will be sure to get him back to you before the night ends."
"Thanks so much. Bye-bye."
She clicked the 'End Call' button on her phone before putting it down on the surface below her. She let out a sigh, feeling jet-lag hit her at the most inconveniencing time.
"Googleplier?"
"Yes?"
"Mei is going to be picking you up in a few-"
"I am aware." He voiced, his brows furrowing at her announcement, "Do you not remember that I can hear every call that you have, Ms. (Y/n)?"
"Don't call me that. I'm not your boss or anything. Just please be on your best behavior for me." She said, looking at him with unsure eyes. He held back a grin as he replied.
