I woke up on Ridges chest, his breathing was even and calming. I pushed myself upwards, realizing we were laying on the floor of the ballroom. It was calming somehow the way we moved in synchronization. Then I heard the chatter, and lip smacking, and the annoyed laughter, and I knew who was there, my family.

"Wake up!" I whispered, Ridge muttered something in his sleep then lifted his head, question filling his eyes.

"Wake up my family is here!" I whispered frantically. His eyes widened then he nodded. We stood in tandem, making sure we looked decent, and walked to the kitchen where the noise was being made.

"Oh! Look who finally showed up!" Annabeth said cheekily, I felt useless as I did back then, it was the sinking feeling that was always there until I met Ridge. I nodded, trying to pretend I wasn't effected in the slightest by her gestures. She popped her gum, standing from the table and making her chest look bigger as she walked over to me and Ridge.

"Who is is this!" She said, flipping her blonde hair and eccentuating this trying to seduce my fiancé.

"This, Annabeth, is my fiancé Ridgedog!" I said, my mouth nearly dripping venom as I spat her name. She laughed, her bubble gum pink lips smacking together making the most anoying sound.

"As I was saying, she abused me till I was 18! It was so painful I still have scars!" She faked a tearful stance as she pulled back her white sleeve revealing expertly applied makeup scars. Ridge and Kaz looked shocked as I pulled away, my eyes brimming with tears of hate for my idiot sister. My parents nodded solemnly in the corner as Ridge let go of me in shock and disgust.

"IM SORRY!" I yelled as I ran from the room, my bare feet smacking against carpet, then gravel, then cement, as I ran through the forest. I wasn't needed there, apparently he believed the lies, I was worthless as I once was, and I went to the one place I knew I could, to Toastopia.
