North laid Silvia on a small bed in a light filled room. Slowly walking out the door he carefully closed it and bounded out to the center of the Workshop where Jack had Pitch in ice shackles, and head was nearly frozen, "Alright North, I did my part now is it time to punish Pitch?"
"I see not why you have to do any punishing Guardians for I did nothing wrong."
"Then why are you being here?" North bellowed as he noticed yetis were hiding on the opposite sides of the Workshop away from Pitch.
"I am here because of Frost." Pitch insisted holding up his ice shackles, "Besides, he stole from you didn't he?"
"Yes, but that is Jack being Jack. You Pitch, I have always had my eyes on." He widened his eyes for emphasis.
"All I did was help a little orphan girl off the streets, and you consider that bad? Being worth interrogated over?"
North put his hands in his pockets, but then decided to cross them, "Well...You help child no? Then why aren't you Guardian like we discussed long time ago?"
"We did go through that North, and I told you. It's never going to happen...this child pocesses something like no child I've ever seen. She will have fear be her ally."
Jack smacked Pitch in the back of the head with his staff, "There he goes again with the fear being the ally thing. If you haven't noticed Pitch that didn't work well for you last time."
"Frost the child is choosing her own fate I guarantee you. I'm just showing her how to is all. You Guardians were never there for her." he chuckled darkly.
"I saw her in the park one day." Jack pointed out, "She was asleep on the bench, and...I did see Pitch there! He helped her...scared off a cop or something."
North stormed over to Jack pushing his chest, "You mean you could help?"
"Well I guess but..."
"No but's Jack. If you helped Silvia she would not be in this mess! None of us would be!"
"So you're blaming me now North?" Jack stormed out as wind started to whip around the Workshop scaring the yetis even more.
"This is rich." Pitch chuckled darkly again, "You Guardians feuding again, and over Frost. I have to side with both of you on this one."
"Both of us?" North and Frost spoke in unison.
"Yes. Frost could have helped, but Silvia would have to end up choosing. Fate would not be changed at all North. Any of your so called helping would be futile."
"We do not give up!" North shot up an index finger then crossed his arms showing the naughty and nice tattoos.
"Where is Sandman?" Pitch turned up his nose.
"What does it matter to you?" North snorted.
"An owl told me that Sandy's good dreams will be no more here soon."
"Who, an owl told you that?" North snorted again, "Man and Moon told me that...well..."
Pitch seemed truly intrigued, "What did he tell you North?"
Jack leaned in towards North more intrigued as well, "Or was he silent as usual?"
North had a small bead of sweat drip from his brow, "He wasn't silent no..."
Pitch and Jack spoke in unison, "What did he say?"
North suddenly stormed off towards the room Silvia was held in throwing open the door, "Oh thank the Heavens she still be sleeping."
Jack flew by North pointing with his staff, "She's still sleeping, but what is that?"
Black sand flew about Silvia's small head as something shot out from it and flew around the room, "Is it Nightmare?" North questioned not taking his eyes off of it for one second.
"I think it is North, but it doesn't look like the ones Pitch has...What did the Man and Moon tell you North?" Jack gave an ensnaring gaze at North while wrapping his hooked staff around North's neck.
"Well he be saying...that the world will be fearing again, and even this took Man and Moon by surprise. He mentioned something about great wings wrapping the childrens dreams in fear, and that Sandman will be working overtime for quite some time."
"You mean Pitch won?"
"I am not saying Pitch won, and I'm not even sure that this child was in plan, but I do know one thing..." he rubbed the bridge of his nose, "We need to strike deal with Pitch."
"What kind of deal?"
"The kind where we chop the fear evenly with all children of world."
"You mean while some children are having good dreams the others will be fearing, forever?"
"Not forever Jack. We make it so they swap every now and then."
"Oh yeah sounds like a plan North, but will Pitch think so, and Silvia?"
"We will be seeing...until then what is that thing doing now?" The black sand seemed to be darting towards them. Both North and Jack ducked quickly out of the way as the bird like Nightmare flew over their heads and out the door.
"Where is it going?" Jack lifted his head back up.
"I am not to be knowing Jack..."
Both of them ran out as the Nightmare bird flew around Pitch's head and landed on his shoulder, "So this is the owl?" Pitch smiled, "What a beautiful little Nightmare."
Jack and North stood dumbfounded, Jack squinting at the black sanded owl on Pitch's shoulder, "Is that yours Pitch?"
"Oh no, this is Silvia's. She's seemed to catch onto her own power pretty quickly."
"Her own power?" North swallowed heavily.
The black sanded owl's eyes flashed yellow as it hooted, "Tell me North..." Pitch smiled deviously, "What did the Man and the Moon say?"
"I will not be telling you!" North sneered out.
"No matter, I will find out in time." Pitch smiled broadly as the owl caressed along his face flying around the room. The owl started to grow in size as it grew large enough for someone to ride leaving black sand in its wake.
Jack held up his staff in case he had to make a wild move, but the owl swooped under Pitch and he was already on its back before Jack could do anything. Breaking free of his shackles Pitch laughed manically, "What are your Guardians going to do now North? Fear is stronger than it has ever been...so much untapped power...Last time it was you who had won a Guardian. Yes I'm talking to you Jack Frost, but now it is my turn..."
The owl swooped towards the room Silvia was in as it made a huge hole in the wall. Pitch picked up the still sleeping Silvia and put her on the owl. Black sand was still whisking around Silvia's head as they flew off through the glass ceiling of the Workshop.
"What do we do now North?" Jack worried.
"I...I am not to be knowing Jack, but I do know one thing..."
"Yeah, you seem to always." Jack managed a laugh.
"They will have to come back."
"Why?"
"They forgot something that will help them escape the Pole."
Jack reached in his pocket and pulled out the Snow Globe, "Will this be our bargaining ticket?"
"Sure will Jack. We also will be needing Sandman..."
"I have a feeling Sandman will not want to come close to Silvia though North."
"We will have to do our best to make him then. He cares about children of world as much as we do. So I know we will get to him somehow."
